I throught long an hard about what type of flat panel display I wanted.I chose this plasma because right now it puts any lcd and any other plasma to shame,both technicially and viewing wise. It's got a platora of features and tweakability, just what you need to get the finest picture possible.I have owned Pioneer before PRO 530HD(crt), So I can vouch for their reliability and quality. I took a gamble and purchase a Mitsubishi DLP(Definitely a Load of Poop), which went kaput' in 2 years. Buying this tv, I feel like I've came back to my senses. The picture quality is outstanding an far superior than anything else out there ie... LCD. It isn't "1080p" but, the only display that can display true 1080p is the Pioneer FHD1(plasma)and it cost $8000.00 unless you want to mention that Sony LCD eyeball incenurator.Do yourself a favor, ask any true salesmen, what's the best TV you have in your store picture quality Bar None an I guarantee you they will point you to a Pioneer plasma.Lcd is just all smoke an mirrors(literally), dont be fool Plasma are very bright in fact I have mine set half way an in some modes that still way to bright. After watching this Tv I couldn't imagine watching an LCD at night in livingroom.
