Excellent video quality through its HDMI input. Very good sound from its built in speakers. Easy set up.

Performs poorly through its analog inputs, including component.

This is my first HD set. I must say that I was truly suprised by its incredible picture quality through its HDMI input. However, the picture showed some pixelisation through its analog video inputs. So much so, that I currenty only use it as a monitor for my sony HDMI enabled dvd player.Its sound is remarkably good for a tv set, making it ideal for sparing my family from my monster HT system just to watch cartoons. It is really a great set for the money. Using with HD satellite/cable service is the way to go, as virtually all standard broadcast programs look rather grainy on this set.Try to sit at least 10 feet away to minimize some of this effect.
