We always bought Sony products, starting from the cameras to camcorders VCRs DVD players TV sets, everything. My husband believes in paying more to get a good product that lasts you longer. Well that was NOT the case lately. In 2005 we bought a nice big screen TV set it was on sale for $2599.99. Well it lasted exactly 3 and half years, which is very upsetting because you would think Sony, would make products that last longer. You would think that Sony will stand behind their products and behind their name. The reason I am so upset is because we also bought a vio laptop in 2006 that lasted exactly 1 year and for that 1 year the laptop was more serviced than in use. And Sony is not willing to work with you or help you either. As for me I am done purchasing Sony products. I can get TV’s and laptops, a lot cheaper, yes they might not be a big name like Sony but I sure hope they will last a lot longer . I will get what I pay for.
In this case I can not say I’ve got what I paid for, because I was willing to pay, for the laptop we paid more than $1500 and we had 2 replace it within 1 year.
Very very upsetting, so think twice before you buy a Sony product.

Technology has changed a lot since I purchased this set in 2004. At the time, this was the grand daddy.
