If space is not an issue - this TV still holds it's own with the best of the best! I have owned this monster for almost 10 years now, moved it multiple times and never had a problem with it at all. I would keep it indefinitely if the depth was not an issue but it just eats too much room compared to the newer flat panels that fit nicely on the wall.

If you have the space, and want a reliable 64 inch monster, you can still find them used at bargain prices compared with a plasma or an advanced LCD the same size.

Strength:

great picture @ 720P, twin picture is swwweeeet, 2 HD componets as opposed to some 2k2 models with only one

Weakness:

Size, Size, Size if your building a house this is the set for you. If you live in a 2 story home and looking to get this up - rent a crane

I really just recently purchased this set It was a good price for the size and capabilities. However, was I in for a surprise. These sets are really make for a house to be built around. If you live a a multiplex, or want to get this set in an upstairs area your going to have a lot of problems as it is almost impossible it is HUGE. when it first arrived at the house the delivery guys asked if I wanted to refuse it because there was no way it was going to fit thru the door. I ended up having to pretty much take a wall out to get this thing in. The set is just way to big, I eventually got it going just before the superbowl and the set is working lovely nice picture so far.

Strength:

Great Price & Quality

Weakness:

Input button on Remote and Remote Sucks.

The Sharp is a real sleeper in the HDTV world. It cannot be beat for the price. This is a wolf in sheeps clothing. There was a storm in my area and the TV went out. I called Sharp and got instant answers. They sent a repair man to my house the next day. When he took off the back everything inside was Pioneer Elite 710. I was told they share tech. The problem was a surge protection that cleared up by unpluging for a couple of min. The 710 sold for $2000.00 more in 2000. Imagine a great TV, great service and a great price. Someone pinch me I must be dreaming.
