Strength:

Design, HDTV and DVD picture, lots of inputs.

Weakness:

Standard cable TV picture, delay in Xbox games.

After much research I decided on a DLP and the Samsung looked the best at the various showrooms I went to. It looks even better in my house! The picture with HD and DVD's is simply amazing but the standard cable picture is actually worse than with a standard view TV. That's not a big issue for me because I watch more DVD's than TV anyway. The DVI input is awesome, you can see details on your DVD's you never noticed before. I wish they had two so that I could hook up the TV and the DVD via DVI. I don't have any components with the HDMI hookup so I can't comment on that one. Xbox games look great as well with the component video hooked up but there is a slight delay in the relaying of information from the game control to the TV. It's really noticeable when you play games like Madden. I bought a calibration DVD which was very helpful in getting the picture to look they way it's meant to. For some reason Samsung thinks the contrast should always be around 100% so that's where they have the presets. The design of the cabinet is sleek and the TV looks great on or off! It actually takes up less room than the 36" RCA it replaced. Plus it only weighs 100lbs (120 lbs lighter than the RCA). The remote is pretty basic but the menus are very easy to use. I'm not too impressed with the DNle technology. Sometimes it looks better on and sometimes it looks better off. The speakers on the TV are nice but I use my receiver so that I have surround sound. One thing I would like to see added is an optical digital output from the TV. If you get it at Best Buy they will match the Circuit City price (about $100 lower) and still give you the three year no interest deal. In case anyone is interested here's the system I have: Denon Avr-883 Receiver Denon DVD-1910 DVD player Klisch Speakers and Subwoofer
