Strength:

Best Looking TV.
Very good image and clarity.
Good Price ..back then..
Easy to replace the bulb if it goes bad..I still have my original bulb and did not replace yet.
Zero problems with the tv.. !!

Weakness:

Only 720p or 1080i ...
Other than that none...

I bought this TV after I fell in love with the style. This TV looks fantastic. I've never seen any tv looks better than this.
Now, let me talk about my experience with this tv.
I had this tv for over 18months and I never had any problems. I hooked it up with my DVD player, computer, and ps3. Mostly I use it with my computer through HDMI.
Any divx I watch come out so good and clarity is awesome. Many time, friends came over and we enjoyed watching movies.
I like everything about this TV !!
I heard in Korea, they got 1080P of this model. I would like to see it here.

Best tv for the money. I think it's discontinued now..

Strength:

Styling, excellent clarity and colors are amazing. Black levels are excellent.

Weakness:

Blotchy marks appear along edge of screen. Green tint on some satellite channels despite adjusting the greens down. Remote is very cheap.

I purchased this DLP TV to replace my Panasonic rear project wide screen unit. The specs seemed outstanding, the style is very nice and Samsung has had the experience with DLP. My main source for TV is Dish Network HD 811 receiver (now) and Sony DVD player. First unit arrives and is expertly installed. From the very get go, there was a big problem with green tints everywhere in the picture. Despite adjusting the green way down and nearly eliminating it in another video adjustment area, all shadows, dark backgrounds and hair tint (of all things) were noticably green. Ultimate Electronics promplty brought out a new set. Same thing. Brought out another set, same thing. After changing cables, etc. I began to suspect the satellite receiver. I bought a new HD sat receiver and a new DVI cable. Bingo. The picture immediately improved. There are still some faint green hints on certain stations (ESPN for one) but for the most part the picture is very good. The picture from the DVD player is good, but not fantastic. I have had to get used to some pixelization during darker scenes from both the sat receiver and the DVD player. There are also these odd "ink blotches" that run vertically along the right edge of the picture. They are gray and look as though someone handled the screen with dirty fingers on the inside as they cannot be cleaned off the screen. All three sets suffered this malady. The effect is inconsistent and since it is along one edge I don't let it bother me. The remote is very cheap but I don't use it so no bother there, either. The color from this set is just amazing. Even standard def stations reveal brilliant colors and very black blacks as you would expect from DLP. The viewing angles are outstanding as well as compared to my rear projection set. The sound quality is just okay, but who uses the TV speakers for DVD's anyway? I recommend this set for people who watch more TV than DVD's. The DVD picture is decent, but it you are used to excellent like I was with the Panasonic you may be disappointed a bit.
