Strength:

Good price. Head on picture was good. Easy to use remote control.

Weakness:

No picture when viewed from the side. Customer service is awful.

This TV was fine until just before its three year "birthday." One night while watching it, the TV made a hissing noise and went black. After having Samsung's authorized service center come out to look at it, we were told that "pretty much everything was broken inside of it" and that it would cost over $2000 (more than what we paid for it) to fix. The fact that there are multiple parts needing repair seems ridiculous to us considering the fact that we had no prior problems and the TV is only three years old. We have contacted Samsung several times over a six week period to see if any of the repairs would be covered by Samsung only to get the run-around with every person we talk to. Needless to say, we are planning on buying a new big screen TV and we are definitely not even looking at a Samsung. When we bought this TV, we were impressed with the price as well as the picture, however, we're disappointed that after three years we are already having to replace it.
