Strength:

Very nice bright picture!! Built in player. Looks great in my living room!!!!

Weakness:

No fire wire. Only the much more expensive models with built in decoders have them. Why would you want a built in decoder if Time Warner charges($1.95/month) for the HD Box. The same price as a regular Digital Box. They're working on an HD/DVR box with a DVI output which my TV accepts. Why have a decoder if you get the best they have to offer as soon as they upgrade the technology. Save the money.

I bought the D52W136D which I believe is just about the same as the 135. I looked at all the different brands that the store had and only Hitachi and the Scenium had such great looking bright HD displays in the same price range. I love the built in DVD/CD/R/WR/MP3 player. The black border that gives the floating picture effect is really cool. I had only seen that before with the very expensive Pioneer Elite TV's which are way beyond my range(3 kids and my wife at home). It is a very nice effect. The picture is great after playing with the settings a bit. I like the Cinerama display setting over the 16:9 that the TV has. It seems to be a little clearer and still fills the sceen nicely. The 4:3 pull down is very good with minimal distortion to the scene. The picture from DVD's is awesome, I mean awesome. The picture settings are adjustable individually to each different input and that really helps. The sound is really good, the best I've heard for a TV, and has nice equalizer adjustments. The menu is easy and the remote is OK. I can't believe after wanting HD for SOOO long I was finally able to get into it for less than 2K!!
