Strength:

Good picture from Oppo upconvert DVD player. Can't comment on true HD, since TV wont show video from anything that needs it to be HDCP compliant.

Weakness:

You guessed it. TV is non HDCP compliant. Which makes the HDMI port useless.

I purchased this TV off of Ebay a year ago from a private owner. I've been using an Oppo upconvert DVD player to show movies and its shows a very good picture. I only have standard Dish Network at this time, so I can't comment how the HD picture looks via satallite. The TV is chocked full of features and has been very reliable. The major issue is; This TV is not HDCP compliant. Which means the HDMI input is useless unless the video source is non HDCP compliant as well.
Being that this TV was manufactured in June of 05, means Philips ripped off a lot of people by not making this TV HDCP compliant.

Customer Service

Sucks! They lied several times before admitting TV was non- HDCP compliant.
