Strength:

Awesome sound, bipole dipole switching, design, build

Weakness:

heavy....the only thing I could think of

Excellent speakers, they are the best ones Polk makes except for the 1000's which are huge. I am very impressed with the sound quality. My system includes a Denon 2800, with a JVC DVD player. My speakers consist of a CS300 center channel, with the "old" trilaminate tweeter, and soon to be replaced Technics fronts. These new 500i speakers are supposed to have "improved" trilaminate tweeters in them. I would like to know if there is a big difference or not, so I know whether or not to upgrade centers. But, for sure these surrounds are awesome. Five stars all the way.
