Strength:

Makes my YAMAHA RX-V2092 into the system I dreamed of.
They disappear in the decor. I got them in white and mounted them as high as possible to the ceiling. Sound becomes 3D on DVD and VHS.

The bullets in "Saving Private Ryan" whizz past in true dimension. The movie "Twister" has sequences where the sound seems to come from positions where I don't even have speakers. My front left and front right speakers (Boston VR35) are close to the Matchline PHILIPS 48" RPTV so I do not have a good spread in the front but with the VRS Pro Dipoles that does not seem to matter.
I designed and built my own 4th order triple chamber Bandpass Subwoofer and loaded them with a pair of Boston Acoustics RS12s. Even with the 200 Watts of power to the subwoofer coming from a Luxman L5 the setting on the RX-V2092 for the surrounds is set at LARGE and they have no trouble handling the bass from the 100 Watts available.
The walls are lined with T&G Pacific Island Kauri which carries the sound well to each side of the surrounds which gives good rear imaging. They impressed me as being of excellent build quality so I had no qualms about purchasing them. Highly recommended for middle to high systems.
