Excellent bass response for surround speakers. Quadrapolar Design

Well, I've had a good month to live with these surrounds, and I continue to be impressed by their sound. The first thing I've noticed is how much bass response I was missing with my old surrounds. The QS-8's have two woofers(1 firing up, and 1 firing down) that really crank out the bass. The speakers are designed to create a diffuse sound, which they certainly do, but, because of the bass response and design, they also seem to produce a more direct sound. I know that sounds contradictory, but the effect is very pleasing. It's kind of like having a hybrid Bipole/Dipole surround speaker that blends the best qualities of both designs in one speaker. I highly recommend these surrounds. Like all of Axiom products they are an incredible value for the money. Give these speakers a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Wall mounting cannot use banana plugs, you must use spades or bare wire.

I purchased a pair of QS-8's from the outlet store. They were supposed to be blemished, but if there is a mark on them, I certainly couldn't find it! They were delivered in 2 days, in pristine condition. They are solid, well built, and are better looking in person, and they look great on the wall. They have opened up a whole new listening experience for me, as I re-listen/watch everything I own. Each disc is a new lesson in details previously unheard. Being a musician, intricate layering of sounds and frequency is the reason for a good home system, and these fill the void often overlooked by typical surround speakers. Hook these up, throw on a good DVD Audio disc like "The Captain and Me" by the Doobie Bros, or a good smovie soundtrack like "Jurrasic Park III" and you too will be amazed. It is simply amazing how much clarity these bring to a system, and how much bass information is in the rears. These are light years ahead of the Polk speakers I was using previously, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the ultimate surround for their system.
