AudioPhile

Strength:

Rumbles the floor quite effectively for movies.

Auto Stand-By

Has lot's of settings to tweak ( if you want ).

Great sub for the price.

Weakness:

I doubt this an "audiophile" level unit if you intend it for serious music listening. But you'd have to spend a hell of a lot more for that quality.

This my first sub. Used for DVD movie playback only, not music. Though I have high quality floor standing speakers with powerful woofers for some reason ( bass managment?) I never got the floor rumbling bass inherint in modern movies ( ok, "action" movies). This smallish sub really did the job, and this in a large living room. Watched X-Men 2 with it last night and I was impressed.

My living room floor isn't terribly solid. Things bounce when you jump on it, so it doesn't take much to get the rumble going. So your results may very depending on your environment.

J&R selling it curerntly for much less than other sites. $160 minus shipping
