Weakness:

None That I've Seen

I think this unit is a good buy. It produces a solid bass and is very effective in a small to mid-size room. Before using you should set it up to output about 85db using a spl meter(radio shack) and set the cut off around 80KHZ. This will give the best sound and cleanest bass. It fits nicely into any corner or beside a couch without taking up to much room. I think anyone looking for a low-cost sub should check it out.

price

Weakness:

too underpowered and boomy

I got this sub in the SAV-E305 package, which was my first set of speakers and I was dissapointed with the sub. Its underpowered and is very boomy. I watch "The Phantom Menace" and the explosion sounds were ruined by this sub. I raised the volume on my receiver and heard only distortion from the sub. I had to put the volume level on the sub to about 3/4 of the way to get any thing out of it. I'm going to return it for a SAW-M40 for more power, most likely. Its not bad for the price, but I wouldn't suggest it for a home theatre.
