Strength:

For the price, it''s a very musical sub.

Weakness:

not very powerful, needs a good cable, and a hard floor

I actually rather like this sub. I was going to replace it since it has a mono input and I was auditioning some subs many times the cost of this sub, and mine was more musical most of the time. It''s not powerful, it doesn''t thump or pound, but it fills in the lower registers very nicely. It''s a downward firing 10". I found it was very muffled by the carpet, and very muddy with the cable it came with. I got a monster equivalent cable and it tightened up a lot. Works very well with bookshelf speakers. I was using it with an Onkyo 484 which has very weak bass amplification. As far as I can tell a lot of bargain amps are pretty weak in bass amplification.
