Remote, Vibrations

Weakness:

For the price it can not be beat. It can sound boomy at times but overall I am very pleased.

The unit has never heated up which is great.

I have a Sony 90ESG unit. No hum with this receiver.

Strength:

Remote, competitive price

Weakness:

mid range quality, Low level hum at mid volume +

Not a bad unit for the price. Radio Shack ran this at half price, at $200.00, so I thought I'd give it a try. Driving it with a Kenwood KR-8080, Infinity Overture 1 out front, Infinity CC3 center, and Bose AM5 rears. I was frankly quite surprised at the finishing touch it added both in audio, and Home Theatre. The bass seems quite adequate for audio (I'm a clarity nut, so no rap here), and added a wonderful sound element in HT.

Don't expect Velodyne or Klipsh quality here, (I'm told this unit is made by JBL, not sure if that's true), but for the price, it does the job for me just fine. I have an order in to have my unit exchanged due to low level hum (the store demo didn't do this), so we'll give it another chance. If the hum doesn't exist in the new unit, then I'll likely stick with it.
