This is a sweet passive subwoofer matched to a set of Walsh G3s which I'm now using in my living room and will soon be moving to a dedicated HT room. I originally had the subwoofer facing the floor situated in the corner. This led to wimpy, muffled bass response which was very directional. I then set it on edge facing the back wall. What a difference! The bass response is now clean and nondirectional. I sat down last night and listened to Carly Simon's greatest hits CD which has some awesomely clean bass lines. I could swear that I could pinpoint the location of the instruments. With my eyes shut, there was no way that I would have known that there was a subwoofer in the room. Will this be enough for special movie effect? Don't know yet but I'll send an update when the HT room is done.
