Strength:
Lot's of bass
Weakness:
to much after bass So far so good, However there is way to much after bass. Switching my Yamaha RXV-793 from dvd to cd to tuner there is a noticable increase/decrease in levels of bass. I have read the other reviews of this product and a lot of them refer to an article on tuning this sub, IE: insullation, socks, duct tape, ect. Where can I find this article? |

Strength:
1) A really strong bommy sub thats so cheap, anyone can afford.
Weakness:
None IMO, its too cheap 4 me lol! Today reading all the reviews, I just had to get the KLH for 99 bucks at Costco. And Im glad with my purchase, I also purchased "The Terminator 2" in DTS sound. Once hooked up at home(Sony STR-DE825, Sony DVP-S550D) connected with digital dts sound, then inserting the dvd in. Aww man you should of heard it, way better than in the theaters. Gunshots in the mall, and the minigun was incredible. It rocked my hose big time. And all I gotta say is once you get it, play around with the crossover, I adjusted mine around 35hz, and the volume half way up. For those people changing the sub, trust me don't do it, diff. subs have diff. watt ratings that might make the amp work harder resulting in damage. Even though you buy a safer handeling watt like up to 300, it will screw up your sub big time when you turn it up. So better off leaving it alone. Other than that, adding some pink panther wont hurt it, just makes the sound a little tighter and more accurate. I might do it later. Now go buy it! Similar Products Used: First One |

Strength:
PRICE, PRICE, PRICE!!!
Weakness:
None for price I had a problem with the Subwoofer when I first bought it, returned it and got a new one, the next one worked well for a little while, but decided to retire earlier then I hoped! So I said one more time... The next one was the (I beleive the newer version) KLH AWS-120B, so far the subwoofer has performed beautifully. Now I know what a good subwoofer sounds like (Have about $700 dollars in car subwoofers alone, so after spending that I had no money left!) and this isn't near a perfect sub. The amp lacks the power to really push out beaffy low notes. But for 100 dollars it performance the job better then any other 300+ dollar ones in my eyes. |

Strength:
Not many.
Weakness:
Too many. I had the KLH 120B for a couple days before I returned it. The best I can say about it is that when it worked, it sounded decent at about half volume. The range was not impressive. You get 90% bass drum and 10% bass guitar. The unit shut off on me in the middle of playing for no reason. Similar Products Used: None. |

Strength:
Price, power for the price, punch
Weakness:
Lacks insulation (none, zero) This is a version B (with line-out). Did any of you people with amp problems break-in your sub? You NEVER EVER take a power amp out of the box and run it hard without proper break-in. I ran it at below reference levels for 24 hours before listining critcally. Strength:
price, clean design
Weakness:
construction, controls on back panel, longevity This is my first powered sub and for the price I paid it couldn't be beat. However, only after 3-4 times I used it, it broke. I too smelled the funny odor, evcessive heat from the heat sinks and experienced the lack of sound. I took the time to inform KLH about this problem as well as the reviews everyone left here at this site and was reassured that the problem has been fixed. I am in the process of waiting for my new one to be shipped to me (30 day warranty from best buy up) and will inform you of the experience I had dealing with KLH. So far, it has been good. Quick response and courtieous customer service have been what I've gotten so far. As far as how it sounded, sound was good for a $149.00 sub. It hit all the lows very consistently with good expansion. It could be a little tighter and from what I understand, that problem too has been fixed.(no dampenenig material inside the enclosure) Similar Products Used: none |

This review is to update all on the plesant experience I've had with my asw-110. As posted on previous review mine broke and had to get one from KLH. Well as it turns out, they did fix the amp problems by replacing it with a new one which now adds a low level out. The one they sent me so far sounds great! The rep I spoke to did a wonderful job in taking care of my problem. I would give his name but I'm sure no matter who you need to talk to, they will help. Read previous review for my opinion on this product. Once again, for the price, it's definitely worth the money! |
