Strength:

The perfect sub for movies Top value Well constructed extremely accurate and clean

Weakness:

positioning Velodyne HGS 15 is better for party music

This sub is an excellent sub for home theater applications. All movies sound absolutely amazing, the bass is frightenely fast and accurate. You will notice as I have that this sub never distorts and plays effortlessly in any application. I have found that bass volume for music is not quite club party level, but it does the job. I am having severe issues with dead spots but I only have one possible location for the sub. I hear the bass much more along the edges of the room.

Strength:

Power. Looks.

Weakness:

Level must be turned to about 80% to get substantial sound.

I bought this sub about 45 days ago and couldn't be happier. It has good sound and plenty of power. I recently moved the subs position and am now finally receiving equal bass volume throughout the room. I still have not been able to achieve adequate sound in the 22hz-28hz range like the company boasts, but it definitely goes low enough for my tastes(and I am a basshead and listen to nothing but hip hop). I noticed that I needed to turn the level up to approx. 80 percent before I got the level of sound desired, but that is a minor gripe. All in all I love this sub. It adds a whole new dimension to my home theater. I recently began watching all my dvds again just to hear how it sounds with my new addition. I think that I had more room filling bass with the two acoustic research subs I was using previously, but this one sounds so much better, never bottoming out or distorting. I highly recommend this sub to anyone that wants a good quality sub without the insane price tag that can be found on high end models. It is about time someone created a good quality, moderately priced sub. It seems like most subs these days are either less than $300 or more than $1000. This sub fits in the middle nicely. I got it for $459.99 from BestPriceAudioVideo with free shipping. What a steal. Retail is $700. With the grill off, this sub looks sweet, especially with my matching arrangement of JBL studio series speakers.
