Strength:

Rolling thunder

Weakness:

You could live in the box it comes in. It's huge.

I think the b&w's (althought not the best in accuracy) are just spectacular for theater. The strength of this sub is it's awesome low hertz output.

audio weakness: Not super accurate, not really an audiophile sub, big.
audio strength: awesome low end, absolutely no unwanted noise (flapping, huffing, or cutting), smooth rolling bass (which makes it an awesome choice for 5.1), undirectional sound (you can put it anywhere, close your eyes and you can't tell where it's placed).
It gets a 4 for stereo and a 5 for theater.

Not quite sure if it's worth the price though. It is a great sub, but you could get a pair of asw-1000's for less. Still considerably less than most brands.

Strength:

Belly shaking bass with accute attention to detail. User friendly x-over. Sexy good looks.

Weakness:

Power HUNGRY! I had to run a dedicated 20 amp line.

I've owned my ASW3000 for over 2 years now, and couldn't be more pleased. In that time, I have auditioned several different makes and models of subwoofers (as that is what we do), and can't find one that could satisfy me more. It responds extremely well to music, despite other reviews and excells on movie soundtracks. Placement is key, but once it is broken in, it is a true marvel.
