I recently purchased this sub woofer and also bought it because of the good reviews it got from Home Theater magazine. This is definately a good sub subconsidering it's price. I also have a Cambridge Soundworks PSWII which has
an 8" woofer and 100W amp. The Atlantic Tech sub does not go as low as the
Cambridge, but it FAR more acurate than it. A great bang for the buck. My
only complaint about it is that it is some-what localizable even when you
put the crossover at it's lowest setting. If you are looking for a sub in the
$250 area you should not over look this puppy.

It retails for $300 but there are plenty of mail order places that can sell
it for around $250.

I bought an Atlantic 162 PBM to add bass to my roommate's stereo system. I've been extremely pleased. It ran $170 delivered from soundcity.com as an open box item. I'm a risk taker like that, eh? I'm an insolent college student, so I expect dorm shattering performance, which it isn't really designed for. It is, however, orgasmic when it comes to home theater. Because of the lack of REALLY booming bass, I'm only giving it 4 speakers.

This is a follow-up from a couple posts down. I sent my 162pbm in for repairs a couple months ago. It was returned in perfect condition, and sounds better than ever. So far, so good. Atlantic Tech gets an A+ for customer service and quality of repairs!
