Strength:

IT HAS ALL THE STRENGHT A RADIO COULD WANT. IT HAS LOUDNESS,PRETTY COLOR PURPLE, AND SURROUND SOUND ,TO MAKE MUSIC SOUND ALIVE.LOVE THE WAY THE TAPE STOPS AT THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER SOUND.PLUS THE SUB WOOFER HELPS THE SOUND

Weakness:

TO MANY CONNECTION WIRES,SLOW CD CHANGER, NOT A GOOD REMOTE MODEL.

WELL I BOUGHT THE MODEL SA-AK57 IN JANUARY OF 1999 ANDI JUST SAW IT AND I LOVED IT AND TO THIS DAY I STILL LOVE MY RADIO. I LOVE THE PURPLE COLOR IN THE MIDDLE AND LOVE THE DIFFERENT SOUND I CAN GET. EVEN THOUGH THE CD CHANGER TAKES A WHILE AND THERES TO MUCH WIRING IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.ITS GONNA BE 2 YEARS THAT I HAVE IT AND IT HASNT FAILED ME SO PANASONIC PEOPLE KEEP ON MAKING THESE NICE STEREO SYSTEM WITH DIFFERENT COLORS IN THE MIDDLE BUT JUST A QUICK REMINDER A BETTER MODEL OF A REMOTE. BUT I GIVE THE RADIO ALL THE CREDIT AND THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THESE PRODUCTS.

SCOTT IS GAY!!

I'm just here to say that this system looks like a robot from the year 2310. Maybe sounds good, but too many buttons and hard to read screen. Not nearly same reception as yamaha (SCOTT!!) you can't compare mass-fi minis to upper mid-fi components!!??!! it's ludicrist. good sound too flashy.

Strength:

5.1 Ready, Modern looks with Platinum Color, Solid Design, Plethora of functions and Equalizers.

Weakness:

Slow CD Changer (approx 12 secs) Subwoofer out only works with 6ch Discrete.

Bought this in December of 1999. It was a great deal from where I purchased it. For the first month I used it as is right out of the box. It was pretty impressive sound with the 4 way speakers with the Super Woofer Bi wiring mains. After about 6 months..i got tired of it and decided to put use to it. So I purchased the Sony DVP S560D and a Cerwin Vega LW-15. This monster can give heart attacks!!. But anyways...the system performs flawlessly not only alone, but also with the add-ons. Though it would be much better if the Sub out would work with more than just the 5.1 Channel surround, its a great system. Changing Cds is also a chore as it takes about 12 seconds to change from cd to cd.
Overall, this is a great system....awesome sound with 330 Watts of Pure power. Now Panasonic makes the SC-AK 78 and also the SC-DK series with built in DVD players and decoders.

Strength:

Lots of features, solid quality build, 6:1 inputs, big sound.

Weakness:

Slow CD changer, bad remote design, no digital in/outs.

Panasonic has always impressed me with mini-system design and excellent sound. This product is no exception, well built and good sound. I have this system in my bedroom ( I have a state of the art system in the living room) (15X17) and it fills the room with great sound. I usually use this product for movies only (dish hook-up) and I am impressed with the decoding and sound quality. However the remote has no "night glow" features for dark rooms and the preset buttons are too close to the input buttons. Great product overall, highly recommended.
