Strength:

Decent sound, unobtrusive design, great price/performance.

Weakness:

Crap speaker wire, brain-damaged wall mounts.

Positives:
These things sound great for the price. While not overly awe-inspiring on the musical side, they really do shine on the HT front. The highs are crystal clear, the bass is "utilitarian", and may take some positioning to get it to your liking. Midrange, however, is missing something, and if you're a metal fan with a love for electric guitars you might be a bit dissappointed. They sound quite nice for more "earthy" tastes, though, and may need a bit more breaking in.

Design of the sats is nice, and it's great to be able to mount them on the wall and forget about 'em.

Negatives:
It's ironic that the manual recommends using 18 gauge or better speaker wire, and yet they include what appears to be single-strand copper. Lame.

The wall mounts are utter crap. Folks, these things are an engineering brain-fart. In essence they're cheap metal brackets with which you can only position the speakers one of two ways vertically, and cannot rotate them at all on the horizontal plane. How are you supposed to position these to get a decent stereo image? Not to mention the fact that the screw holes on the bottom of the speakers you use to attach to the brackets are NOT EVEN THREADED! HELLO??? Is ANYONE HOME?

The wiring terminals are a bit small and if you have large fingers you might be in for some aggravation when you hook the speaker wire up.

Overall:
Throw away the speaker wire, find a different set of well-designed wall mounts, and have your 8-year-old hook up the wires to the terminal and you've got yourself a nice Sub/Sat speaker system at a heck of a price (~300USD)

Strength:

very nice design, go really loud, not to obtrusive

Weakness:

springclip-terminals !sub doesn't go very low, but really loud though

i have these babies for more than three years now, and although i'm thinking of replacing them for a mission set,
they still sound awesome. it takes some tome to do some equalising to get the sound right for music, but once you've done that, they rock the house. i can recommend these speakers for starters, but not for audiophiles.
perfect for dance music, but not very open with classic.
wonderfull design, your wife will love you for it, your neighbours will hate you, as they go staggeringly loud !
