Strength:

Nice build quality, Fair pricing, and a very unique company that takes your trades, makes mods, and has tons of wood veneers.

Weakness:

They really need the bass modules to hear their full potential.

If you like the sound of MTM designs you need to hear the Linbrook monitors. These monitors look rather large sitting on their monsterous stands. Impressive as they look the sound is musical, dynamic, and detailed. The first thing that is noticable about Tyler products is the highs. I owned 2 pairs one with the Seas Mil. tweeter and the other pair with the Scan Speak Rev. tweeter. These tweeters are some of the finest in the world to my ears. The problem I have experienced before purchasing from Tyler Acoustics is that these drivers when used by other manufactures had a price tag that was just out of reach for me. The mids used in the Linbrook monitors have excellent resolution and very good bass response. There are speakers this size that will have more bass output but as far as speed and detail the Linbrook monitors do a very good job. Overall, a nice monitor that is rather room placement friendly. It can be placed in rooms with hardwood floors and not have bass overkill. Of course the better the room the better they will sound.

Strength:

Timbre, soundstaging, imaging, easy to drive, they disappear and the music effortlessly pour out.

Weakness:

Long break-in (is this really a weakness?)

Purchased these based on the fabulous reviews of Tyler Acoustics Loudspeakers and all the other reviews are right on. At first listen, I thought I had made a terrible mistake and can only conclude that my used pair was not fully broken in. The sound wasn't bad, but soundstaging and imaging were unrealistic. After several, several hours of break-in things really fell into place. I have yet to listen to any other speaker as muscically satisfying and the ones that have come close were much more expensive. I have used both tubes and solid state and the Tyler's are comfortable with either. A truly excellent loudspeaker.
