I heard these at Audience in Bath demonstrated with Naim CDX2 CD player, NAC202/HiCAP/NAPSC, NAP200. They sounded so good I bought the demonstrator pair in light oak.

The sound is traditional Spendor, I have known this brand since hearing a friend's BC2s in 1978, but with a bit more life and sparkle. The mid-range is beautifully clear and dynamic, helped by this speaker being a three way with four drive units. The bass is controlled, clear and accurate, but not lacking. There are two bass units and that creates great authority in the overall sound.

The treble is more lively than earlier Spendors, but still a little more relaxed than many younger brands. All four units blend very well giving a satisfying, natural sound with good tone.
