Strength:

Great highs and mids, looks great

Weakness:

Bass on low volume lacks

What a great pair of speakers.... Very good for SACD and DVD. Look at alot of speakers and keep coming back to these. Keep in mind if you do not have a top of line amp/receiver power is going to be a issue for you. (4ohms)

Strength:

Pure, clean sound of voices. Seemed to eliminate fuzz from tracks that you here with a lot of speakers.

Weakness:

Couldn't find any yet

Great speakers. I bought them at www.acousticsounddesign.com. The speakers are absolutely amazing and I recommend to all. I looked long and hard and researched a lot of speakers. I used one of the local stores to test the sound and chose these, amazing. Crystal clear sound. Ability to play old tracks from the 40's and 50's and provide a pure clean sound. Even CD-R sound was incredible. Love these speakers and the service from acoustic sound design.

Strength:

Treble extenstion, bass response, ability to to be expressive without ego.

Weakness:

I can't find any. Ask the reviewers, Im sure they will find something, especially if compared to something at 5 times the cost.

I have benn trying to come up with a term for this speaker's sound. I keep coming back to the word cohesion. One voice that always stays within itself. There is absolutely nothing that stands out - meaning everything is beautifully displayed. I can't really describe it. And you don't know it until you listen to this speaker for at least a month. You keep trying to pinpoint something about it's faults but you can't. You try to praise it and you can't. It's just there playing music. And you listen and listen and listen. And subtly it is charming like curling up with a good book or watching a touching movie. It always stays within itself and doesn't want to take chances, but it does something that a lot of other speakers can't do. Be emotive. Be sweet. Have a heart.

Strength:

Excellent bass response, easy placement, mirror imaged, fit & finish, incredible soundstage. Ridiculous low cost for such a fine speaker.

Weakness:

I would have liked more choices in wood color, such as oak, maple. The grills should be a 2 piece unit.

I recently sold my Magnepan 1.6qr speakers due to a new listening room and size and placement constraints.(Superb speakers by the way). I needed a smaller speaker, but did not want to give up bass response, soundstage, and accuracy. I auditioned Audio Physic Spark, Joseph RM-22, Vandersteen 2ce, Totem Hawks, Polk Audio Lsi15, All in my new room. These were all in a 1500 - 2200 price range. Boy was I suprised! All were fine speakers, but the Polk Lsi15's had the best overall sound qualities and appearance. I was a tad reluctant to buy these because of the mass market stigma some people have about Polk. Forget that, and buy them! They are superb. Their bass response is solid, deep and musical. The ring radiator tweeter is very close to the sound quality and appearance of the one in the audiophysic at about 1000$ less. Excellent sound for the money, great fit & finish. Ability to mate with other Lsi models for home theatre.

Strength:

Everything but deep bass ( easily rectified with a small sub-woofer: one that is able to keep pace rather than just provide thump). Particualrly stunning with acoustic and vocal music.

Weakness:

Deep bass: not an issue in light of the LSi's cost and the ease of fixing this proble.

I purchased the LSi15s after a pair of Final electrostatics that I had been running for 18 months packed up for the third time (wonderfully articulate, but hopelessly unrelaible in our humid conditions). Having carefully auditioned a wide range of speakers, including Cyrus Icons, Jamo D 830s, Chario Milleniums, Castle Howards and so on - repeatedly listening to favourite CDs (Jessie Cook, Jennifer Warnes, Diana Krall, David Gray, Buddha Bar III, etc) - I would never have considered Polk Audio if a pretty astute salesman hadn't grabbed me at the right moment. Immediate comparison with Charios, Kef Qs and some Tannoys immediately convinced me that they appealed as a wonderfully accurate speaker that, although a fraction light on bass, could handle everything from Led Zeppelin to Nora Jones. More extended listening confirmed these impressions, plus their ability to render an accurate sound stage and capture the texture of even the most delicate of instruments and voices - no doubt assisted by their much vaunted ring tweeter and an articulate mid range combo of speakers. Despite being prepared to pay up to twice as much for the right speakers, the LSis simply left everything else in their dust, especially when matched with good amplification, source and a small Energy sub-woofer. In terms of price they simply offer unmatched value and have completely changed my impressions of Polk Audio (no easy accomplishment in its own right). To top it all off, even my wife thinks they're fantastic and, despite our initial strong allegiance to the transparency of electrostatics, we both feel that they're a distinct improvement on the Final 0.3s that they replaced.

Strength:

Detailed highs, accurate lows, great soundstage. Best speakers you can buy for $2000 or less.

Weakness:

You'll need to add a subwoofer for Home Theater or give them plenty of power, they like it.

The nearest Polk LSi Dealer was a good 10 hour drive for me. I was amazed when I auditioned them and I still am today. Amazing speakers for the price. Very revealing, yet not too harsh. Definitly a steal even at the the full MSRP Price.

I bought the Polk LSi15 speakers based on magazine reviews and I ordered from http://www.acousticsounddesign.com based on reviews here at audioreview.com and elsewhere. I am so pleased with both decisions. The LSi15's I'm using with a Yamaha HTR5590 receiver, with 12 gauge oxygen free wiring and the sound is ultra clean and crisp and very natural sounding, which I require because I listen to mostly acoustic instruments. acousticsounddesign.com is where I'll return for my next audio purchases because their quickness and ease of tracking are very comforting. I received my Polks within a week's time. Andy

I bought the Lsi 15 from Acoustic Sound Design (www.acousticsounddesign.com) based upon the research and feedback I'd seen across the web. I was not the least bit disappointed by these amazing speakers, the highs a mid-range are spectacular. Bass is tight but not boomy. The speaker creates an excellent ambient sound, the sound seems to travel every where yet they are very tight and crisp. I have heard sounds in these speakers that I never picked up with my old system. I Would highly recommend to any audio enthusiast. Great aesthetics as well. A great overall set of speakers at a very reasonable price.
