I made a poor decision--based on a perceived bargain--and bought these dogs at onsale.com.
These are mediocre speakers, produced in mass quantities by Pinnacle to feed the auction site and boost their sales.

Are they high quality speakers? No way. Average drivers, no bass, and below-average imaging, below average build quality and materials.

Are they worth $69+ a pair? No way. In addition to your "winning" bid price, onsale.com rapes you on shipping. Their estimated shipping ALWAYS comes out at the high end of the range they post. So be prepared to pay more like $110 a pair for these speakers. Absolute robbery!

Back to the speakers...I'd say the fairest comparison is not between these speakers and KEF, NHT or Paradigm, but rather with JBL, Advent, Technics, Optimus (Radio Shack). Why pay onsale.com's absurdly inflated shipping prices, when you can get the same or better speakers at Radio Shack for less money.

Pinnacle is really a has-been company if this is what they are reduced to.

Their speakers are NOT recommended at any price.

I bought mine from onsale.com, total $89 shipped. I bought them because i thought they were a bargain and am convinced that they are.
They sound great in digital as surrounds and their white color blends in well with the walls.

I played with them hooked up to the mains and they give as much bass or more than other speakers their size, they only have 4 inch woofers Jim. The highs are very clear. Pinnacle told me that the 3/4 soft dome tweeter is the same as in the AC-650 that has excellent reviews.

I found build to be very solid with excellent binding posts.

very happy with these especially for the price

I got these speakers at onsale.com for $84 and they have an SRP of $360 (discontinued model?). I wanted a high quality surround sound speaker and after listening to them I love them! They really open up my room and are great for audio support as well. Can't speak the audiophile language but the sound is crisp and efficient. Actually had to turn the volume down a few clicks after replacing my Boston Acoustics. They are less than a foot high, 9 pounds apiece with 3/4 tweeter and 4 inch woofer, gold connectors and high quality enclosure. Considering price and quality, I don't think anything will beat them.American made as an added perk.
