Strength:

Very strong presence. Very efficent speaker. Crisp highs and very strong bass.

Weakness:

None that I can hear yet.

I know what your thinking..how did i get them so cheap...I work for a store that sells them and I purchased through a factory accomodation program that paradigm offers.

I won't say that I'm a very big audiophile..i'm more into video but in my 2 years at this store i have listened and demo'd a lot of speakers. I owned a pair of Phase Tech's before the Paradigm's...I'm borrowed a pair of Monitor 9's for a home audition and I fell in love with the sound. Nice stereo effect. Good dispertion. Filled my living room very easily. But, my rep let filled me in on the Monitor 11's and what they could offer so i held out for them and believe me I'm glad i waited. I use a Sony STR-V555ES receiver which throws out 120 watts per channel and when i run it in stereo i don't really even need my sub on. (I have a Mirage FRX-S15)

I've had customers of mine come to my house to audition them in a live setting and was solely responsible for bringing them into the store (We stocked the monitor 9's and special ordered the 11's)

They are an impossing speaker and are very skinny. Tight bass. The 6 1/2 drivers keep things very crisp and accurate. I would recommend these speakers to anybody ...

On a side note..these babies come in two flavors..shielded and unshielded..make sure you ask before you buy...don't want to mess up your tube t.v. at all.

Strength:

Solid all around speaker, sweet highs and mids, well built

Weakness:

not enough body to the bass

I've had these monitor 11's for approx 3+ mo. They were upgraded from 9's. I like the 11s highs and mids better than the 9, but wish the bass is as tight and full as the 9.

Overall, excellent speakers, no regrets on the purchase.

Strength:

clearness, sound, narrow tower, bass

Weakness:

NONE, the speakers are awasome

After listening to NHT, Def. Tech. and psb, I decided to get the Monitor 11 v.2's because of several reasons.
1. The monitor's souneded as good and then some as the rest of the 3 listed above.
2. The price that I paid for these was a great deal. If I would get a speaker that was similat to the size of the 11's the price would easily be $700 more.
When decideng on my HT, I wanted to get the most sound for my money. I was very impressed with the Def. Tech., but after listening to the 11's my decision quickly changed. These speakers are extremely crisp, and produce a decent amount of bass. I use these as my fronts in conjunction with my mini monitors as my rear. This is an excellent setup. Do yourself a favor, listen to the 11's before you make your next purchase. Save the extra $700 dollars you will pay with the previous 3 listed above and go get yourself the BEST $800 sub you can get. Yes I am talking about the SVSubwoofer.

Strength:

Excellent overall, no coloration, crisp high, solid mids and plenty of low end punch

Weakness:

None to note

Best I found in the <$1000 range -- sounded better than many more expensive. Need power to drive them, hence my recent purchase of NAD C-270. When bi-wired the improvement was distinct.

Strength:

Wide dispersion,tight bass,good mid,s,

Weakness:

unshielded,that it,s

First of all I purchased the monitor 11,s as demos,so the price was admirable. However, the flux was amazing at frist, but after break-in I now have them as close to my direct view tv as 2ft.If you can just keep far enough apart for about two weeks it just miraculously vanishes on it,s own. I am still in awe at the sound of these speakers the detail imaging, warm sound field, and natural tone is unmatched in this price range for sure.I finally attached the spikes whiched improved bass depth.Don,t have dvd audio or sacd yet,but dolby digital sounds good in fact it,s a great way to adjust the sub.I,am very please with the performance an have no problem recommending.By the way paradigm makes these speakers unatracted delibertly because speakers are to be heard but not seen.

Strength:

amazing imaging, powerful bass, clear midrange, great price!

Weakness:

tall...very tall.

I previously had a pair of B&W 602 S2's with a B&W sub that seemed to work fine...until i heard a set these monitor 11's. Not only was the pair less expensive(essential for a physics grad student!), they sounded much more natural than my speaker/sub combo. granted, the real low stuff isn't handled as well without a sub, the difference is neglegible unless you are listening to rock. i listen mostly to instrumental music and for the money, it just doesn't get any better than this. I have them paired with a NAD T751 surround reciever and a soon-to-be-upgraded pair of ESS surround speakers(have no idea what model).

Strength:

Ability to bring out the details in recordings.
Great imaging. Vocals sound realistic and clear.
Bass is tight and precise, not boomy.
You can tell these are made to last.

Weakness:

None.
BE CAREFUL- They come in two versions: video shielded and not video shielded. You must specifically ask for the video shielded version.

I bought these to replace a pair of JBL HLS 810's that I had used as fronts. The JBL's were good but musically left me wanting more.
The Monitor 11's are clearly in a different class. They are incredibly clear and bring out an incredible amount of detail in music playback. I can hear every instument clearly and the sound is very realistic. Hooking up a sub is nice but not necessary.
I auditioned many of the Paradigm speakers at the store. I had originally gone in to get a pair of the monitor 7's. I had the salesperson play all of speakers in the room: mini monitors, monitor 7, 9, and 11's. I decided on the 11's becuse they had more of a bass presence than the others.
I am very picky when it comes to sound and these speakers have made me very happy. In conclusion, they are worth every penny.

Strength:

great bass,mids,highs

Weakness:

absolutely none for 6 1/2" drivers

I'm not an audiophile, however, these really shine with my NAD system.I really wanted speakers that were full fledge three--way with at least 8" drivers but these really surprised me ! It seems some speakers sound better with certain types of music but these sound great with all kinds.I'm very content with my purchase.they receive the highest ratings in my opinion !
