i have a pair of baby 2 grand universe , what a speaker , people who are nuance haters would shut up if they heard these , this speaker can go up against any speaker about three times its price , i have tested these against b&w ,def techs and a set of martinlogans , the highs are clean and smooth the midrange accurate ,and of course the bass tight and accurate as ever , if any of you who bash nuance have the guts to challenge this speaker go down to the square one location of world sound &vision and speak to a guy named chris , he will show you this speaker with pride , and educate you on the versatility of this speaker , fellas this is an investmnt of a life time, i have probably been to every high end streao shop in the gta ( canadian sound, bay bloor radio, american sound , fairview elec, tabangi, brack elec to name a few) but the minute i heard these i was sold , i went bck with my own cds and dvds and went through the entire spectrum of music ,and this speaker would not lay down at all !!! i use to own a pair of energys that cost me $6500 but they are garbage compared to these , fellas i urge you to check these out if you dont want a pushy salesperson deal with the guy i dealt with , i believe his name was chris at the square one location

I,ve been reading these ,often humourous , reviews .I,m not sure some of these ppl know what they are talking about. I recently purchased a set of the power;d towers baby 360,s9 with 300 watt amp's in each.Powering them with Yamaha's RX-V990 receiver.First off some background, before buying these i was using a set of mordaunt -short pageant3's and i also own a set of paradigm 7se's. These Nuance 360's Blow!! the other speaker's I own Away! . It took a but of extra set up with these new ones ie-wall distance ,proper patch cables, took some setup time but the end result was well worth it.I'm sure you will find better speakers out there but in this price range forget it. for those nay sayer's take another listen with both ear's this time.

Cosmetics are pretty plain, except for the grand series. but cosmetics should be the least of your concerns when your buying speakers, unless you blow your nose with $100 bills.

First off I just have to say that I am an employee of Future Shop, So I should be slamming this product with a god awful review. However at one time in my life I was a sales associate for World Sound and Vision, and that I was a customer at world sound and vision, so i own some nuance products; Nuance Studio Grand fronts Nuance Spatial Grand Center Nuance Spatial Grand R5 Subwoofer Nuance Star Sat Rears They are being powered by a Harman/Kardon AVR-520 Reciever. That being said, I love my speakers. I believe that George (nuance) made a fine product and I believe That nuance speakers have a lot of value in them and that they are sold at an amazing price. i believe that the people at nuance and the people at dealers such as world sound and vision are doing an amazing thing because they have made such a positive difference in peoples lives and they continue to do so. I have great pride in my nuance speakers. i love showing them off to my friends and family, and seeing the expression on there faces when they here there music as though they were sitting front row center at a live performance. I miss working at world sound and vision because I was a part of something amazing. It made me feel good making such a positive change in my customers lives, and I know that everyone at world sound and vision feels the same. And now the review: My nuance speakers perform like no other speaker out there. When I close my eyes and listen to my music I feel like im in a completely different place. After getting my speakers home I wanted to listen to my entire collection of cds so i could hear all the fine details that i had missed in the mini-system i owned prior to being enlightened By Brad Thorn of World sound and vision. The lows produced by my front speakers was beautiful, the highs were clean and smooth, but sharp when they needed to be. after a few minutes of listening I decided to turn on the massive dual 10" 500 watt subwoofer. The subwoofer enhanced the male vocals very nicely, and didnt overwhelm my 2 front speakers like most would expect from a sub this size. When it needed to it shook my house and took posters off the wall. When watching movies the center channel was realistic with the voices and did not "buzz" or "humm" like a lot of other centers do. The Star Sats (rears) were phenominal with ambient sounds, airplanes, cars, and just about anything that came out of them. The sounds blended well when moving from speaker to speaker. When you watch a movie or listen to music with nuance speakers, the sounds never actually sound like they are coming from the speakers. That is what the magic of Nuance Spatial Sound is all about. I recomend nuance speakers to everyone who listens to music or watches movies. there are tons of models out there for you no matter what your budget. The 10 year unconditional warranty will give you peace of mind, and the 1 year no loss trade up is awesome for anyone who wants there system to keep growing. with new models coming out every six months you have plenty to choose from. The Sales approach: This website is not designed for reviewing salesmanship. Its designed to review the products themselves. As a customer I expect my shopping experience to be just as fun as actually owning the product. So I love the way nuance dealers do things. I discovered nuance at the age of 16 at world sound and vision. I was in the market for Home Theatre and everywhere i went i was not taken seriously because of my age. I walked in to world sound and vision after a day of school with my coat and my backpack on. I was greeted within about 2 minutes and I told the sales associate that I was in the market for my first home theatre system. I was invited into the sound room to experience a technological breakthrough. I then recieved a 20 minute speaker presentation and was literally blown away. the speakers used for my demo were spatial 3cls. I knew at that point that I had to have them. At $1500 they were out of my price range. The Salesman then showed me Star Sats which were worth $1000 dollars. (just out of my price range) after spending 1 hour at world sound i left the store and saved my money for 3 months. I told all my friends and family about these amazing speakers and soon my uncle bought a pair. I went back to World sound and told them that I was raving about these speakers to my family and that my uncle had bought a pair. They gave me a reduced price on the star sats, and I took home my first pair of nuance speakers. Brad Thorn and Rob Bachman, if you are reading this, Thank you. Nuance sales reps have commission based salaries. They have to sell to eat! Don't hate them for it and don't post negative comments in your reviews about them because they worked hard to sell you something great. if you don't want to be pressured by sales people, go to Canadian Tire and buy a $127 sylvania mini system. If you want something truly amazing, check out nuance.

you deserve better than any of the other sh!T out there, every six months nuance releases new models and everyone of them sound better than the last, think about how much money that would cost to print flyers and advertise the new models, the sales people that work for nuance are the most passionate people out there about what YOU listen to, and honestly want you to have the best, I know because I am speaking from my heart everytime I talk about them even away from work, people ask me why I am always "working" I never shut up about them and thats because I sat down 3 years ago and heard them, I had just came home fro the CBC recording studios and was in fact rather cocky about myself, could you imagine my attitude when this punk walked up to me and said that he was going to "change the way I listened to music" sh!t I recorded some of the stuff he had in his cd case, but I figured I'd give him a shot, so my wife and I went with him, well 20 minutes later, this passionate giving individual, had done what he said, I thought I knew what "consumer level product" was suppose to sound like, but what nuance has done is design a speaker that actually gives you every single detail the Engineer intended,usually to get the performance that you get from nuance is reserved for the extreme level of entertainment, the rich sh!ts out there who don't really know anything about audio, or even worse audio files, F^CKED ME UP, so I walked out of that store with a simple pair of towers, and here I am 3 years later helping people change the way they listen to music, I work for nuance although "World Sound and Vision" in Oshawa Ontario Canada pays my cheques, nuance is Valued high because thats the price you have to pay for this kind of performance from other speakers, but Gorge Baker Owner of Nuance, wants every single person out there to have high performance for a price thats absolutely perfect and actually cheaper than anything out there. so if you ever have the chance to EXPERIENCE NUANCE, tell the rep how much you could invest, a price that won't take food off your table, they'll give you the largest speaker possible. I know I speak for everyone out there when I say you should only have to do this once so do it right and don't get "HOSED" by the competition, they're just jealous. thanks DON

First I would like to say that I was very much dissapointed when I bought those speakers. Why? Because I didn't have the chance to test them like I would have liked. But, at one point, my brother-in-law asked me if I could be his wedding dj. Man, it took me a Bryston amp to be able to drive those speaker because the others were not efficient enough. The place was like 40' by 40' and you would have thought that you were in a discotheque. No joke. Those speakers ( only 2 of spacial grand 3 )... the bass was incredibly deep and straight. The only problem now is to find parts and info about them. There is not even a web page for those "all mighty". Beleive me if you see a pair of those for a good price, don't even let them go or you will never know what Audiophile music sounds like.

i went into world sound and vision this morning. they have this sale going on, with tons of deals throughout the store. they toke me in for a demo and i was blown away by what i heard. so i picked up a pair of spatial360's, its one of their newest models. i also got a harman kardon amp. i cant belive the deal i got on these.

So My dad and I picked up a pair of these 3Elx's, a pair of star grand 1sms, And a pair of Spatial Grand 3 cls's, We are running a 7.1 onkyo 989 reciever. Let me tell you I know all about the pushy sales bull--it and the demo with q sound. But once we got these things in to the house,WOW! The imaging in stereo with no surround on is phenominal, the fronts with 2 self powered 500 watt dual 10s deliver bone crushing bass. (Now my neighbors hate me). I just cant see getting anything else that could even compare to what we got from world sound and vision. I will never waste money on another make of speaker, im now die hard nuance. If you can make sense of what thier marketing strategy is and appreciate what you have discovered the you will see for yourself. I know I have.

Good, clear sound. Good bass when volume turned up enough or subs turned up to at least 3 with low volume. Great for waching movies or just hammin it up in the summertime evenings. Remember to invite your neighbours - they don't get as angry.

After walking out of their store w/ a pair of Baby Grand Universe, a spatial center & 2 smaller rear, 200 feet of Nuance soundwire, all the optical cable I could possibly require and a Toshiba DVD player as well, I couldn't believe that I just spent so much coin, so quickly, when i really went their to " perhaps " pick up a dvd player. OK - There sales could use some polishing - well - if you're like me, maybe not! They sound great, have a great warranty - however I am hoping to never need to use it - but if I do I'll bet they take their time to repair my speakers. Don't buy them on an impulse - unless you have more money than brains. Take your time, compare, and buy what you like and what you think sounds great. Don't get me wrong - I love my speakers. I am powering them with a Technics receiver w/ 100 watts / channel - could probably use a better receiver - like HK or a Denon, as I can hear the hiss when the stereo is powered, but I hope that is from my receiver and not a result of the speakers. I have no idea if I got a good deal or not - they were asking just under 9k for the Baby Grand Univ. alone, which would imply to me that they simply marked them way the hell up, and if people want to bargian - they can feel they bargianed hard. I know I walked away feeling that way, but now I am not so sure. I would really like to know if I got a good deal, if these speakers are all they're " YAPPED " up to be, or if they do indeed come complete with 6$ drivers. Tick me off if they do - thrilled if they don't. There you go - it's all mind games. They sounded good at the store, they sound great in my living room, and - most imporant - I've bought the damn things! Suck it up and be happy? I would, if only I could figure out for sure whether I got fooled or not. You know the old saying - Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - shame on me. I don't think I'll buy more Nuance until I find out for sure if I got fooled or not. Anybody got anything that could answer my question?

First let me say I`ve been listening to music from all types of artists and variant recordings for more years than I care to say. And one thing you must realize is that a speaker only reproduces the signal its fed and the quality of that signal. Now I bought my Nuance speakers more than a year ago and every time I listen to them I`m still amazed at the rich clear sound that comes out of these black boxes. I chose to power the speakers with a Pioneer Elite VSX-TX36 amplifier to ensure it has a clean undistorted signal which makes all the difference. Play anything throught these speakers , be it a high resolution recording or an MP3 encoded track and you`ll be astounded by the clarity and power with which they reproduce sound. So if you want to know if a speaker is worth investing your money into just use an instument that is indiscriminate to the quality of sound your own ear. Next time you audition a pair of speakers take a piece of music that your so familiar with you can recite it in your sleep. And if the speakers brings out parts in the track you`ve never heard before then thats what you should be looking for.
