Strength:

detail, clarity, excellent mids. Beautiful cabinets, small footprint, decent sound stage.

Weakness:

a little weak on the low bass

purchased these off the net without hearing them. I went by the reviews, (which I was a little nervous about). When they arrived I thought they looked beautiful and sounded great. I had them hooked up to a cheap Kenwood AV receiver and they sounded fine until I pushed them. Got rid of the Kenwood and have them hooked up to a B&K ST-140 with a Luxman pre-amp, what a difference! they like a quality amp
with power! much more detail and alot more bass. I have since changed the interconnects to audioquest topaz which improved the bass even more. I am very happy with these speakers, although I do use a subwoofer for home theater use.

Strength:

Extremely detailed constuction, incredible sound from such a small size

Weakness:

bass could be deeper

Extrememly lovely speakers nice and small towers to fit any room, unbelievable build quality. Sound is extremely detailed and musical. The most "musical" soeakers I have owned, plays true to the recording, bass is a little weak, but thats just do to the woofers size, however it's fast and tight. I would recommend these speaker to anyone looking for a small tower to provide some serious sound.
A great buy.....

Strength:

These speakers have no outstanding abilities except that they look great.

Weakness:

If only they sound the way they look.

What's the problem with the 773e? They do nothing particularly well, compared to the B&W 600 series they are very wooly and lack sonic definition. Well recorded CDs are fine but bad recordings are intolerable. The 602s although $150 cheaper are a far superior product, with these badly recorded CDs can sound quite pleasant because the speaker can pick out the details and well recorded ones sound devine. Even the 601s pick out the details far better but lack the bass definition of the 602s. I should have auditioned the Missions like I did the B&Ws, I've learned not to trust a review only my ears.

I have a fairly large listening space and the Missions can not fill it, the 602s on the other hand have no trouble in doing so nor do they expect much from the amp to achieve this either. Altogether a much better speaker.

If you are looking in this price range and are thinking of getting the 773e then give the B&W a serious audition first.
