Boomy midbass, but still very good for a 5.25" subwoofer.

These are probably the best computer speakers you can get for under $150. They MSRP over $250 but you can find them on ebay and other places if they still carry them for under $60. I bought mine from price costco for $59 after rebate.
These speakers have *the best* computer subwoofer I have ever seen. Probably nothing but the Klipsch or Boston Acoustics PC subs beats it. 44 watts RMS D-class amp. I disconnected the sub driver it came with and hooked up my own homemade 12" Eclipse subwoofer and it has enough juice to rattle the smoke alarm and make it off the ceiling of my bedroom.
