Strength:

It a Linn Floorstander! Punchy. Lots of weight.

Weakness:

Bit Sloppy in the bottom end.

Well, just got back from my demo at SuperFi. Have just listened to the Keosa's, Q35s and M74's. The verdict...

First up the Q35's (£250) - Nice clear sound. Not big on bass but what's there is totally controlled with a wide open space. Very listenable.

M74's - £300 (I think) - Nice and punchy but a bit sloppy in the lower end. The shop assistant seemed to like these but I wasn't hugely impressed.

Keosa's (£300) - I was looking forward to these, a Linn floorstander for £300. And they were nice. They filled the room. Plenty of punch but... After switching back to the Q35's the bass on the Keosa's sounded a bit too boomy for me. I like my music to be controlled. 'Qulity not quantity' if you like. Also, the Q35's just seemed easier to listen to. At first instance the Keosa's seemed more 'alive', but after 5 minutes, a bit wearing.

To summarise... The Keosa is a fine speaker. It probably has the worst finish out of the three, although it's probably the best designed (visually) with the KEF's in close seccond. The M74 looked a bit overdesigned and tacky, although well finished (sorry, I'm a web desinger, it's important to me). If it was between the M74's and Keosa's I'd go for the Keosa's, mainly for the badge, sonically there wasn't much between them.
