I too think highly of the 3.2's. The response is awesome at both high and low levels. I have Klipsch center and surrounds as well, and my next purchase will be a Klipsch Subwoofer. The bass is so good on these 3.2, I'm going to borrow my neighbor's Klipsch 200 Subwoofer to see what difference it makes. You can't go wrong with Klipsch speakers - there are none made better at twice their price.

i have had my 3.2's for over 5 years now. i recently upgraded my crappy Sony receiver to a really nice NAD C740. i also upgraded my cd player (amc cd8a), interconncets (qed, qnect 2's), and speaker cables (vampire wire, 14g). each upgrade has brought about improved sound quality. i must admit, however, that despite using sand-filled 16" stand design speaker stands and good placement within my listening room, the soundstaging of the 3.2's leaves something to be desired and i plan to upgrade when my budget permits. don't get me wrong these are quite good speakers for the money. i got mine on sale for $450US back in 1994. i'll give 'em a 3.5.

Strength:

Soundstage, treble and mid-bass reproduction, price, price, price. Fairly accurate for this price range.

Weakness:

Can be somewhat bright. Mid-range a little lacking.

I bought these speakers as a close-out about 6 years ago. I had never owned Klipsch speakers before, but had a friend who had some horn-loaded speakers that were very similar to Klipsch that I liked back in the late 70's.

I bought these speakers as part of my first Pro-logic setup, along with a Klipsch CC, Sony receiver (which has since been upgraded), and some Polk mini-monitors for surrounds. While certainly not audiophile stuff, it worked well for me for the price (less than $1K total) after just going through a costly divorce.

They work great for HT and pretty good for music. I know there are better speakers out there, but for the price I think they are great. Full range, efficient, with a great soundstage. I plan on upgrading these speakers in the next 12 months, but I will use them somewhere else in my home. There is nothing out there at in this price range that can compare. One of the best purchases I have made!

They deserve higher than 5 stars for value, but since there are many speakers out there (for more $'s), I have to only give it 4 stars overall. If you can find a used pair I would highly recommend!!!!

Strength:

Very clean and detailed.

I have a pair of KG 3.2 speakers that I have had for the last 10 years. I find myself listening to "newer and better" speakers at the local stereo store....but always leave empty handed. I am still VERY pleased with their performance.

I actually traded some piece of crap Pioneer speakers for them in college.....straight out....no lie. And no, he was not drunk. I guess that shows that everyone's tastes are different!

I run them with a KV1 center and some "cheapo" surrounds. I am actually looking to purchase a sub (sunfire of klipsch, I can't decide) and a new set of SS-1 surrounds.
But, to be honest, the bass extension of these speakers is pretty good! I wonder how much better they will sound by rolling off at 65-75 hz and using a dedicated sub?

I would be interested to hear what others are using with their 3.2s and what you have been pleased/displeased with.

Strength:

appearance

Weakness:

these speakers are deceptive. they sound good until compared to good speakers.

These speakers worked out well until i brought home a pair of vintage sansui sp-x9000s which sounded considerably better. (bigger woofers, too!) i was totally shocked. the kg3.2 really held its own at first but the vintage sansui speakers showed me how much sound i was missing, in every range. they reduced the kg3.2s to overpriced crap. toys that i would not even dream of buying again. having owned the kg3s, kg4s and the kg3.2s and having now sold them all, i feel like the fog has been lifted. the heresy II is a considerably better buy from Klipsch.

Strength:

crisp, clean well defined sound

Weakness:

somewhat lacking midrange

These speakers have proven to be an excellent choice for over 3 years. I listen to all kinds of music at all types of volumes. I recently upgraded from an old Kenwood receiver to a Technics DTS receiver which gave my Klipsch speakers new life! I use the KG-3.2's as my front main speakers. The only thing I do notice is a lack of midrange, but that can be expected, I would think, from any 2-way speaker system using a woofer and a tweeter only. Klipsch gets my seal of approval! :-)
