KEF Q7 Floorstanding Speakers

KEF Q7 Floorstanding Speakers

DESCRIPTION

The 165mm (6 1/2") UNI-Q mid/HF driver array incorporates KEF''s sophisticated new 19mm (3/4") metal dome tweeter (Ferrofluid-cooled for improved power handling), so midrange is silken and vocals outstandingly pure. With the diaphragm area of a conventional 200mm (8") cone, KEF''s unique B169 ''racetrack'' format LF driver delivers terrific bass for such a slim cabinet. Computer-designed crossovers optimise sound quality, and KEF''s internal bracing eliminates the box resonances that often affect tall full size speakers.

Strength:

This speaker boasts the perfect midrange and vocals while keeping a tight bass. You feel as though you are there.

Weakness:

Power hungry. Good quality and powerful amplifier definitely required. That's a given with most high end speakers.

After having looked for new speakers for over 6 months, and having listened to over a dozen or more models both large and small, I ended up buying the KEF Q7's. They were the only speakers that sounded considerably better than the others while maintaining the precision and transparency of the sound reproduced. I find these speakers stunning. They are much better than anything else I have ever heard, especially for jazz, acoustic, vocals, rock. The build quality is also excellent. Overall, they are the Best sound quality at the best price.
