Strength:

Clarity, broad sound stage.

Weakness:

Rough, forward sound and lack of bass.

The Q35.2s had an impressive sound stage that was wide and deep. Highs and mids were very clear but were a harsh which I soon found fatiguing. I would think that they need to be partnered with smooth components to counteract this (Marantz, Primare etc). Not for those with sensitive ears. Bass was lacking so a sub would improve things.

I switched to the Q55.2s and the extra bass helped to integrate and smooth the mids and highs to produce a smooth, detailed sound. I found the difference to be worth the extra £150.
