This system made me a JBL fan! I hate that they discontinued them. I have the movies and music package, which is essentially the music 2's in the front & rear (L & R), with an upgraded center channel and the powered sub. Since they've been discontinued, I've added another set of music 2's with sub for my rear channel in my home theater, along with my Infinity overture 2's and CC2.

You can't beat these speakers for the money. I have them hooked up to an Onkyo Integra amplifier and Onkyo CD player and they sound great. The satellites are beautifully clean, and the sub provides a surprising amount of low end for its size. The only drawback I find with the system is that frequency transition between the sub and sats could be better. The sats lack slightly in the midrange and the sub struggles as it reaches into the same frequencies, but, nevertheless, the system sounds great in a fairly small room and is definitely worth the price (about $150 if you can still find them).

These speakers are a great value for around $200.00.
Discontinued though. If you can still find them, I highly recommend picking some up.

Great Surround sound speakers

Messed up subwoofer

The surround sound speakers sound sooooo good and at 50 dollars on ubid, i couldnt ask for a better price. However, ever since i got the subwoofer, it never sounded right. It always sounded like the cone was broken. So never really used it. However, now that i have my system complete, I want to use the subwoofer. So i took the sub apart to see if maybe one of the cones were broken and the bottom cone is completely detached. Is this product still under warranty? Does anyone know if JBL can send me a new one? I bearly ever used it because it always sounded funny.
