Weakness:

for the price?...TOO MANY TO LIST

The x3m10 speakers cost $900, when I got them (used) for $400 I thought it was a great deal.
I had a pair of Jamo Classic 10 which sounded good but had too little bass. When I hooked up the X3M10 next to them powered by my Harman Kardon HK6600 integrated amp (2*90W 8ohm FTC, 2*50Ampere) I noticed immediatelly that I lost nearly all the great highs the Classic had.
The dubble 6.5" midrange drivers are bad too, very muddy and couldn't handle much power. If you push the cones inwards you'll notice they are very "short throw"...
The 10" sidemounted bass driver is good but it doesn't go deep enough for the price and over 100Hz it gets no backup from midrange drivers = the bass is not well defined, gets even worse when you turn the EQ up.
The soundstage is small, narrow, tiny...one would think the mono switch has been activated...lol...Compared to the simillary priced Infinity Delta 60 it's a complete joke, I had those speakers too but they lacked midbass so I returned them, maybe the Delta 70 whith the extra midbass driver is better.
The X3M10 speakers play really bad for the price and deffinately not loud enough. Jamo calls these "serious power" , my definition is serious adventuring of the Jamo brand's good reputation.
Now I have the Infinity speakers which are much better with great tight and deep bass, great midrange and tweeter, I gave 450USD for them (1USD = 10kronor) but they are even cheaper in the US.

Anyway, whatever you do, don't buy the X3M10 untill you have compared them with some other brand speakers hooked up to the same amp at the same time!!! Don't be fooled by the stylish looks and the numbers!!!

Strength:

X3M10. Very stong, clean, powerful sound. LOUD with very strong bass, funky looks with 3 options (covers, no covers or no covers yellow trim handles )

Weakness:

Depending on type of music can be quite harsh in treble, midrange.

Make sure you know what you want out of the X3M10's. They deliver a very powerful sound with absolutely thumping bass only 10" side mounted subwoofers can. They sound better after a month or so of good hard use. Turn them up and they will take it if your neighbors can. The BEST for techno, dance music, and deep hard and funky tunes. Blew up my Monitor Audio Bass cones twice, the Jamo's will blow the walls out before they pack up! If you are purist about your mid range, treble sensitivity, depending on style of music you prefer you may find the sound a little too harsh. With the covers off and their silver face, black cones and yellow handles, they make quite a statement in the lounge ( like "look out" ). For the money no comparable speakers could offer the bass without a separate subwoofer.
