I've had these speakers for some time now. I'd say that they sound pretty good. The sound is clear and natural. The came at a good price too!

Strength:

Especially good for jazz and classical, but rock/pop sounds fine, too.

Weakness:

Smooth reproduction, thus you'll need an amplifier (receiver) that compensates that.

I was looking for the speakers to match my Yamaha receiver, in a price range $400-600. Apart from JAMO, I considered several speakers from JBL, Acoustic Research and Paradigm. IMO, Classic 6 gives very natural and bright reproduction of all orchestral instruments (cello, flute, etc) as well as sax. When orchestra plays, the instruments do not mix with each other and there is no gap in middle frequencies. Thanks to ample bass, pop music sounds very good as well, but you will need a large room to fully appreciate it. Comparing to JAMO Classic 8, I have found that Classic 6 is more universal, while with Classic 8 the violins sound even more powerful.
