Strength:

The whole speaker.

Weakness:

With Knopfler cd, it's sometimes sounds like a can. Mysterious¿ It's just with the knopfler cd, not with another male voices.

When You say Jamo, folks will immideatly say Ohh, those who makes those handsome speakers. Jamo started back in the 60'ties. More accurate, 1968. Jamo is founded by Preben Jacobsen and his brother-in-law, Julius Mortensen. 1992, Jamo is the first loudspeaker manufacturer in the world to be ISO 9001 certified. Now to the D590. The first thing You meet is the clear, gently and airly tweeter blended with the cleary and rich midrange followed by the strong, controlled and smoothly bass. The resulusion of the atmosphere (soundstage,image..) is open, deep, wide and well placed. I use Loreena McKennitt, Mark Knopfler as reference Cd's. There is more of course, but You always have some favourites :O) These speakers is over meduimclass to nearly High End!

Strength:

Crisp natural detail, controlled bass and wide dynamics.

Weakness:

Haven''t had enough time to break them in yet!!!

I picked up a pair of these speakers after auditioning many other floorstanders including Polk''s, Castle, Linn and Tannoy. For the money the Jamo 7.7 can''t be beat with incredible detail for music and films. A top class act that looks the part as well with a glass top. Try and get a pair of the 7.7''s as they are now known as the D590 and are exactly the same speaker. ou won''t be disappointed.

An excelent speaker that delivers a special type of bass that realy gets in your body with such lovely range.

I use these speakers for my home theaters setup and have matched them with rear Mission7.7s - nice combo.

Strength:

Crisp, clear, great sound low or high. Play any kind of music. Look very sharp!

Weakness:

I thought more woof would be good, but I've changed my mind. They sound great the way they are!

I love these speakers. I have them bi-wired to a Harmon Kardon AVR 55 and they sound sweet. Low volume, cranked up, classical or alternative - they play it all. I can't wait to complete my home theater system. I bought them because they sounded great for stereo music, and great in 5.1 surround (DVD). I paid $2000cdn for the pair (listed at $2600cdn).

My musical taste, combined with my wife's, makes for a broad range. These speakers have incredible range. I would have liked more bass for certain music such as dance, but once I get a sub, that won't be a problem. Playing classical is supurb. Very impressed with them. I was going to go with Paradigm's, but I decided to treat myself.

I also reviewed these speakers in the 707i page (old version of 7.7). These are excellent speakers. Great dynamic sound so they work perfect for music and HT. Bass can get real low and midrange is superb. I waited over two months to have these speakers at home and in the meantime I tested several other brands.
Highly recommended.

Being a novice in this field I am eager to hear more about the Jamo 7.7's. I love the real detailed stuff and therefore am searching for the most detailed (top end) speakers for around $2,500 (Australian dollars). Would also like to know whether the Jamo Concert Centre would be ideal in a home theatre setup with these speakers. I have heard the standard surround package for the 7.7's but feel they compromise what seem to be great detailed concert-style loudspeakers. Look forward to your comments.

Strength:

Garn bra ljud

Weakness:

inga

Strength:

Smooth sound and nice looking

Weakness:

I would have liked a powered sub in each speaker

Great speakers! I use them connected through a M&K MX 200 sub, rears are PSB M6x1, sub out connection LFE is to a PSB 3i sub, my center is the Jamo 160 and my receiver is an Onkyo 777. I don't have the ear to be able to give you greater detail about these speakers, but the frequency response seems flat through-out their range and their tone is accurate. They are easy to listen to. The cost about $1200/pair via mail order.

Strength:

Narrow tower design, Excellent sound spectrum, Superb finish.

Weakness:

Alittle harsh in the highs, hard to find at the dealers.

It was time to move away from our Bose satalites and get some real midrange back in our music. A friend que'd me in on the Jamo series. Our music tastes's run the complete range. The kids like pop & rap, we like jazz, rock and even some heavy metal. The Jamo's seemed to fill the full music specturm with out over emphasizing any one area. They pick up the low bass very impressively even with 8" woofers. Listen to Van Halen "Respect the Wind" off the twister soundtrack, you get as full a range from one song as possible. The Jamo 7.7's pulled the bass out incredablely as it kicks in towards the end. They actually made the the walls shake. The midrange is fantastic after listening to our wimpy Bose AM5's for to long. The tweeters seemed a bit harsh when we set ours up at home. I toned down the trebble slightly - 2 decibles and they sounded much better. Being new they may need a break in period. Also they come with dual speaker wire connections ready for BI wire hook up (any wire sugestions out there?). Some decent connectors may mellow the highs. After listening for the last month I am very pleased with our purchase. They take as much as our Denon 3300 comfortably puts out and then some. No buyers remorse here. The only speaker that I listened to that sounded better was the KEF Reference 3's, at twice the price 4K was out of the budget. The Bose satalites went to the sides for surround sound and they work well for that. We use our 12" sub for home movies but we set the cross over below 30 mhz since these towers do so well. There deep design lets them make the most of the 8" woofers. If you can find em they are definately worth the listen, you won't be dissappointed.
