Strength:

strong mids and highs. very clear and without overly bright or quite tones

Weakness:

Not a great party speaker as the bass is too tight and controlled, without the boominess and the characteristics that make a good party bass. not necessarially bad.

my previous speakers' bass was definately the type i prefer, as i could turn up the bass to thundering levels without audible distorsion. the infinities have much clearer bass, very tight. they don't have the absolute output, but then again, these speakers sound better, so louder bass isn't needed to cover up the upper ranges. definately the more sophisticated, "better" sound.

but the bass level is appropriate and lets the upper and mid range music to shine and i'm hearing stuf i never heared earlier. the crossover doesn't seem to do very much, vut then again they're still new and final placement hasn't been made yet.

Strength:

Clairty, cost, very clear

Weakness:

size, bass,

Just got these things a couple of weeks ago. These are very large and heavy speakers, wouldn't suggest unless you have a good size room. the sound quality is very good as long as your not listening to rap or bass heavy music. I have an Onkyo 575X that pushes plenty of power, yet these speakers have a tight bass sound, not boomy at all. I have the infinity minuette center and rears and it sound very good together. Thinking about getting a sub as I listen to a lot of rap. I bought these at Ubid for $57 each, plus shipping-total $170. There is nothing comparible at that price. Speakers were in perfect condition when recieved. Here's my cheap ass audiophile system

Onkyo 575X- $390 Devivered from Crazy Eddie
Onkyo DVC600 DVD-CD Changer- $340 from OnceCall.com
Infinity 215- $170 from UBID
Infinity Minuette Surround and Center- $117 from Ubid

Total $1017 If you can beat that for Onkyo-Infinity with a DVD player- you got a great deal. email twaldron@intercall.com if you want more info on any of the above.

Strength:

Very Clear, Very Efficient.

Weakness:

None so Far for the price I paid

I got these babies for $200 for the pair which included shipping. These guys sound very good. I had a old pair of Infinity RS-4's (16yo) that I truly loved the sound of. These speakers replaced them once I heard them. Very strong Sound, with execellent highs. I have been a Infinity Man for along time and these live up to what I expect from Infinity.
