Strength:

Great Bass response

Weakness:

Almost a little too punchy

I purchased these speakers with one thing in mind: value. I wanted a set of speakers for my computer that would blow away all my friend's computer speakers. I made the right choice.

I found this pair, open-boxed from American, for $129 total. I couldn't ask for a better set of computer speakers.

However, if you're looking for mains for your new 5.1 system, I wouldn't recommend them. They're a little too small for the job, however, for listening to CD's, MP3's, or for Gaming, these speakers are the BEST bookshelf speakers I've ever heard, for their size and price.

Strength:

Smooth sound from top to bottom. Gold binding posts. Nice size, weight, and build. Looks good with or without grilles. Excellent value.

Weakness:

Grilles do not appear to remain secured to cabinet.

I'm currently building a new A/V system from the ground up. My room is relatively small and I am trying to keep costs down. I started with a Kenwood VR-4080B receiver (more than I need but couldn't pass it up for the price) and added 4 RS3s.

These speakers are small and light, but sound fantastic in a small to medium size room. Placing them on secure stands about 6" or 8" from the wall created more than enough punch, and I plan to add a sub which should round out the low-end quite nicely. They could be a bit more bright but that may be resolved after a brief break-in period, and if not a little midrange boost from an EQ should suffice. I've only used these in a stereo setup and they have proven to be suitable for music, I am looking forward to adding video gear and using them as mains and rears - they should be fantastic.

I have had the RS3s for only a few days but so far I am satisfied; I imagine that after break-in I will have a better idea of their worth but I seriously doubt that a break-in will result in poorer quality.

The only other speaker in its class that I was impressed with was the Paradigm Titan (another great deal for the money) but I grabbed the RS3s for about $60 less per pair and have no regrets. There absolutely are better speakers to be had, but I doubt that you can find any in this price/size range.

Strength:

Great full range or sound. Excellent bass for the price. Good clear deep sound.

Weakness:

None that I've seen

I purchased these speakers as a replacement for the Bose that I had in my room. I won these bose years ago in a contest at work so for free speakers they were quite nice but I grew increasinly tired with their performance. Bose has a way of butchering classical music (and Led Zepplin) that just got to me after a while.

The Infiniti's are what I replaced the Bose with. WOW. What a steal. These little critters cost me $139 each at circuit city and they sound great. A really full range of sound thats very clean.

I didnt do alot of shopping around for these (it's only a $300 purchase and not for my main system) but I did listen to Polk, bose, Boston Acoustics and Klipsch and I the infiniti's beat them all in this price range. For $300 I have not heard better.

I just ordered the RS 3's from Netmarket and have yet to hear them. Are they as good as the reviews? Please email me and tell me. I just returned a pair of Bose 301's (big mistake buying those) to Crutchfield. Also, is Netmarket a legitimate company? Are they good to buy from? Please let me know. I will keep you all posted about what I think of the speakers when I get them. I give a blind rating of 5 speakers.

Strength:

VALUE, VALUE, VALUE!!! Great sound unmatched by anything else in it's price range.

Weakness:

NONE

I have owned these Infinity's for around 11 months, and they are as strong today as ever. You wouldn't think the bass out of the RS3's would be good, but I was very suprised. The bass is actually quite good and pretty accurate. I have 4 of the RS3's with a CC-3 center and BU-120 sub. The sound on movies is excellent. As for music, the RS3's are not as strong, but they still do a hell of a job. I just can't compare the sound and value to anything else in it's price range. I say get a set and see for yourself.

I use the RS-3 speakers as my main speakers. Connected to a Harman Kardon AVR55. The speakers are great. The low price makes them greater still. I paid $222 for a pair(delivered). They actually sound cleaner than the RS-4, and have good lows and highs. I compared with Bose, and Polk, and JBL. Overall, these speakers are the way to go.

Strength:

very nice sounding for the price. Looks. Solid build.

Weakness:

None that I can see.

I got these for $200 from crutchfield. Good price. Good speaker. I listened to Polks, DCM, Yamaha, and others. I don't think they have an equal for the price. I am using them as surrounds placed on beautiful 31" Paradigm stands. Anyway, They have a nice open sound, highs are clear, but not as clear as my front speakers (Infinity Crescendos)and the bass response is good for a speaker this size. Nice and tight. I have listened extensively in the surround music mode and I like the sound. I use pro-logic (no DD yet) I know they don't get a full range signal in my system, but for my application they work great. Not audiophile stuff, but anyone looking for a good surround speaker or a den or office speaker will enjoy these.

Strength:

The best sounding speakers I have ever heard!

Weakness:

NONE

These speakers are simply amazing. They are the best speakers I have ever heard for under $600. I have a modest home theater setup and I use these as my fronts and they are great. I can't afford a sub yet, but the rs3's put out so much bass I'm not sure I need one. My only regret is that I didn't buy another pair when I had the chance.

Strength:

crisp highs, tight bass, and well presented mids

Weakness:

imaging, although that might just be how i placed them

I bought these speakers at the closeout. when I got them I was stunned at the clarity. granted they are no klipsch or b&ws, but they also are now about 100 less. with the klipsh being a 100% i would give the inf. an 89-92. with the b&ws being a 100% i would give the inf. a 78-83. excelent buy. get them.
