Casual Listener

Strength:

Incredible clarity and accuracy Great dynamic range Great price

Weakness:

If you like deep bass, you'll want to add a subwoofer.

Absolutely incredible sound, especially considering the price ($384 per pair). These speakers sound the way the music is supposed to sound - not colored by the speakers. Incredible dynamic range and clarity. Soundstage is great. Some speakers try to impress you and get in your face. If that's what you're looking for, go elsewhere. These speakers don't add anything to the sound - it comes through just the way the musicians intended it. The only weakness is the bass. It's not bad for a pair of speakers that cost under $400, but won't knock your socks off. I added a PS12 subwoofer to fill in the 'punch', but you'll probably be quite happy without it unless you really want to feel the music in your guts. Since most speakers in this range won't do that, I don't consider it a serious weakness. Overall, fantastic speakers for a listener who wants accurate, clean sound and doesn't want the speakers to get in the way.

Strength:

Full bodied flawless sound.

Weakness:

Do not handle heavy metal well. Creed was pretty much the limit as far as "harder" styles of music go.

I am surprised people are not raving over these speakers for the price. I purchased four of these as my surrounds in my 7.1 arrangement. I have also used these speakers as my mains, hooked up to my Denon 3803. Let me just say, my father has magnepans, my buddy has an all Axiom 7.1(m60's for mains), and these speakers are close. I have visited Paradigm, and listened to their monitor and studio series, and the Primus speakers are still VERY close. The Primus speakers are full, tight, and crystal clear. They are not edgy, sharp or annoying in any way. These suit me wonderfully as full bodied, accurate surround speakers. They are close to matching the sound of their big brothers, the Alpha 50's. All I can say, is that the price is right. If you want to spend twice to ten times the price, go ahead. If you want save some bucks, and get very Excellent sound, go for it.

Strength:

Good bass, excellent highs, great soundstage

Weakness:

None.

I am Brazilian and I have Infinity Primus 360 to four months. I was in doubts in relation to other marks and models. I was not sorry. The sound is clear and crystalline. Great medium and bass. Crystal clear highs, without aggressiveness. They combined perfectly with my receiver Yamaha RXV 759a. When well positioned, it generates an involving sound.
