Strength:

Size, satellite mounting brackets, subwoofer

Weakness:

midrange sound

These speakers do a really good job for home theater. They have good highs and fantastic bass. I have a Harmon Kardon AVR300 receiver and have to set the bass all the way down and also keep the subwoofer set back also. My listening room is 24x15 with a cathedral ceiling and I have no problem filling it with sound.

My only knock on these speakers is the midrange performance for music. Plenty of crisp high-end, more than enough bass, but the midrange really lacks punch. So far I have been unable to equalize this out.

If you are just into home theater, I highly recommend these speakers. If you listen to a lot of CDs, consider also getting some large speakers and a receiver with an A/B speaker switch. If you want both audio and HT performance in a single set of speakers, you will have to spend a lot more money that these Infinitys will cost you.

Strength:

Crisp Highs, easy to mount

Weakness:

Center Channel and sub some what

I am a college student, and I like to watch movies, and this to me presented a big problem because I love good sound, but couldn't afford it on my budget, and the Infinity HTS 10 seemed to offer what I was looking for. I have found that when I watch a movie, either on DVD or VHS that these speakers preform wonderfully. They do lack a little on music for what I would like, but they are better then all the systems I have heard around the dorm, so I wouldn't call it a weakness, but the speakers were designed for home theater so you can't expect to much. I think for someone on a budget this is a great package. The ease of mountibility amazed me as I was easily able to rig the surround sound in my dorm room with just what came on the speakers. I did have some problems with the sub however, when I got it it was broken, but I found that I was able to get it fixed easily because I had purchased the extended warnanty from circuit city. I would definity recomend getting the waranty, it is worth the 50 bucks or whatever it costs. Once I had gotten the sub fixed, the system was great, and it had enough base to move stuff in the room next to mine. Overall a great value, and I would recomend it to anyone on a budget. Another thing that impressed me is that the Infinity logo rotates so you can set the speaker up vertivally and horizontally, and it looks as if it were mean to be that way.

Strength:

Good bass, crisp highs

Weakness:

Lack of midrange

Bought these speakers on a whim due to Infinity's excellent reputation. How impressed I am depends on what type of listening I'm doing. For movies, these speakers are good. I wasn't impressed with the identical center channel, so I bought the new entracenter that Infinity has out to beef up the sound. The center is definitely the most important channel for movies. This speaker is excellent, but will cause you to cough up $200 more for the center. Maybe buying the HTS-20 will solve this problem.

For music, I found the bass to be excellent, but the satellites lack midrange. Despite the decent 4" midrange woofers, music seems too tinny. This could be due to break in, but I'd doubt if the sound will change much after a few more months. The highs sounds excellent. Infinity has proven themselves for solid construction and crispness on highs.

Overall, I rate the speakers as good. Basically, they need a better center, which can be solved by getting the HTS-20, and better midrange , depending on how important this is to your particular musical taste.

Strength:

mounting feature, subwoofer and overall sound quality

Weakness:

not supply screws for mounting the speakers to the wall

I'm a first time buyer for a home theater surround system so this was fairly new to me.I was leaning towards a JBL system but the salesman steered me towards the more expensive Infinity system.I know how this sounds the salesman trying to make a bigger commission but here steered me away from a more expensive Polk Audio System also.I always heard good things about Infinity an my Uncle had a pair of Infinity house speakers.I think what caught my eye first after the name Infinity was the Mounting feature which I really like. When my wife an I installed this system and once we heard it it made me want to rush out and rent DVDs that I seen many times like the Jurrasic Parks,Face-Off,BraveHeart and Saving Private Ryan.I find the Subwoofer outstanding and find watching movies on Tv boring because we don't have the digital satellite receiver so it doesn't work on TMN Movies.I have to say I'm very pleased with this system and would recommend it to any novice home theater fans like myself.

Strength:

price

Weakness:

weak center channel

i have been researching for home theater speakers that would fit my budget of $500. After comparing these to my friends who were using JBL, Yamaha, Bose - i believe this is the best that my budget could buy.
i find these speakers to be a bit on the warm side, detail is a little weak for audio listening and the highs are crisp enough.
for home theater use, the center channel is a bit weak but all the other satellites can deliver.

i highly recommend these speakers for an entry level home theater system.

Strength:

Value, Wall mountable, Sound quality, almost everything.

Weakness:

Center channel can be a little weak at times, included cables are garbage.

This is a very good system overall. The base, treble, and midrange are very well coverd. Im using a Harman/Kardon AVR 210 A/V reciever with it in my room and it is amazing. For under a thousand dollars, you can't beat its value. A word of advice, always buy the best. Its always worth it.

Strength:

Crisp sound, Great Value, and Mounting Feature

Weakness:

None...so far

I did a lot of research to decide what system I wanted. I looked into the higher priced speaker systems but found that being in an apartment means I can't get the full value of what I would have to dish out. I looked at the harmen kardon system, and it just didn't come through as crisp. Yes, it had a great sub, but what good does that do if the rest of the system is sub-par. This is NOT the best system out there, but for under $1,000 it is. I realize that its hard to go off of a review. Go to Circuity City or an electronic store and check it out. I'm sure you will agree with this review. This system is worth every penny.

Went to my local cc to look at the lmps set but they told me they were discontinued in favor of this new model. I had one other theatre in a box and this blew that old jbl away. this new set is perfect in almost every way. The sub may be small for some but my room is small so i probably do not notice the size so much. I love these speakers overall. The mounting brackets are nice and the speakers sound much fuller than one would think. If your looking for small size but full sound look no further than the HTS10 set up. U won't be disappointed.

I did a lot of research before I bought these (this site was great). I was originally looking at the Cambridge Soundworks systems, but when I started to look at what was available on the net i found these. I have always been a fan of Infinity speakers, though I have never owned any.
The sound is great, and particularly clear compared to the other speakers that I listened to in the price range. Most of the Home-Theater-in-a-box speakers under $600 at the time had much smaller, single driver setups for the surround and center channels. It took a little experimentation to get the right placement, and I boosted the center and rear channels a little on my setup (Sony STR-DB830).
I was orignally looking at the HTS-20 online for the same price, but I was a little wary since it wasn't a large store, and after listening to them at the store I didn't want to wait anyway. The bass is great for our living room, it's about 14x20 I think, and we have had no problems with any of the equipment. I had read some of the reviews on the subs (especially the BU-120, this has the BU-80), but I have had no hum, and since it is under an end table you don't even know it's there...until you hear it.
Everybody's tastes will vary, but I think these are great speakers - better than the cheapies out there, and pretty close to what I could hear with the $1000.00 systems. For my money, the best in their class.
