Strength:

nice packaging, made to 'look like' quality speakers.

Weakness:

Too many... laughable bass...never buy from a white van people

My uncle bought these from a white van as the scam goes. I had to crush his spirit when I showed him this site. Luckily he only paid $150(they must be desperate for victims). I let him listen to my 4 inch pc speakers and he heard the difference in quality. These speakers sound like crap. Too much treble absolutely no bass. The only good use for them is to make loud noise. Ferro fluid cooled my ass. The hiss is unbearable.

ya i will admit they look good

same story as most of you all...but wasn't me who bought them.....the victom was my dad. he was walkin out of the bank when a man in a white mini-van approached him telling him he was overstocked with these speakers that we worth 500 dollars a piece but he would sell 2 of them to my dad for 200 dollars, my dad feeling amazed by the deal quickly pulled out the cash.

Strength:

What strengths? Oh.. um.. maybe the box?

Weakness:

ooo.. lemme think.

I don't feel as bad as you guys. I had a crappy stereo when I bought these through my local video store. (customer his making them.. yada yada). Completely ripped them apart in the end, and have replaced each speaker with better parts. I figured I got my use outta them, and it would have cost me $100 to make the boxes alone myself. I should say though, they sound a whole lot better now that they have Selenium parts in them!

Strength:

Nice packaging - Will be putting them in the bargain finder hopefully this week!

Weakness:

Still in boxes so don't know.

Same story...1 guy in white mini-van type, ordered for a bar and have 2 extra pairs, just want enough for a storage locker so he can have the same for his house without the boss noticing, laminated price sheet said $1999. And here I thought I was smart?! Damn jedi mind tricks. Looking on the net to see what these things are really worth and voila... Worth about 1/2 of what I paid. Figure that not much difference between the jacked up electronic prices at the various electronic boutiques anyways.

I'll never know

Weakness:

????

I too was approached by the man in the white van (license plate 981 3CK). He used the same old story, said they were worth $1,200 each and only wanted $800/pair. Still too much to spend on something I'd never heard of When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. BEWARE of this SCAM.

Strength:

They do kinda look nice

Weakness:

One speaker distorts with certain bass frequencies. The other is better, but there's WAY too much treble and virtually no bass.

Yes - they've reached Wales! A white van screached to a halt by me and asked me if I was into stereos - they said they guessed I was because of the headphones I was wearing. I said 'yeah' and they proceded to show me some speakers in the back (which looked pretty nice - home cinema style etc.). They had a colour price sheet laminated in plastic with the price on it (£1,999)which looked pretty professional. They also had paperwork saying that 8 speakers had been signed for and so, according to them, the other two were 'extra'. They wanted £800, which was way out of my league (and hardly worth taking a 'out the back of a van' risk for) and I just told them I wasn't interested... they just kept going down in price until £200 and at that point I kind of gave in (I was feeling reckless that morning!). They even drove me to my house! I couldn't remember the brand (I wasn't suspicious about not recognising it, as £2,000 speakers aren't usually the kind of thing I study up on) and thought that as they were 'professional' it wasn't unusual that they weren't a popular high street brand. This is the upshot: One speaker distorts with certain bass frequencies. The other is better, but there's WAY too much treble and virtually no bass. I'm going to contact a local and national newspaper tomorrow, to spread the word - maybe even put some posters up around my neighbourhood.
