what can I say? good sales pitch!
Weakness:
my own stupidity Well, much to my chagrin, I found out that I got duped just like everyone else on this site by buying these garbage Barfdale's. Anyways, I kinda wish it was the queers who tried to sell them to me instead of these 2 chicks, because I would told them to go screw themselves and sped off like a bat out of hell. But what comes around and goes around, I guess. I was just gonna buy them for cheap and turn around and sell them for $1000 or something like that. Boy was I stupid. That's what I get for being Polish, eh? Now I have these piece of cr*p speakers that I'm gonna struggle to sell for $200 just so I can break even. The purchase was expensive for a poor underpayed dude much like myself, but the lesson was very valuable: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" It's now that I would like to say a resounding "THANKS!" to those two chicks who scammed me. Thanks for the lesson ladies, and I would never buy a GMC anyways! Anybody with info on these Thelma and Louise's, please feel free to contact me. Or even on who makes these Grafdales. There is a way we can get our money back... Similar Products Used: Paradigms --- a real set of speakers |

look good, sound pretty good I bought a pair of these speakers yesterday from a guy in a white van, licence plate 783 9DW, for $200 cdn. The guy was obviously a lying piece of sh.. but at least they work pretty good and I didn't pay too much for them. |

sold by two gay men Ya, these guys that sold me the speakers are really gay, I MEAN REALLY REALLY GAY!!! I saw them kissing after i bought the speakers. It was such a crude sight. Beware of these men, you might throw up. One guy had long hair in a pony tail and he was buff. The other guy was an ugly M_ther F_cker. There were driving a green GMC van, AND THERE HEADED YOUR WAY!!!! LOOK OUT!!!! |

I bought the pair for $260, I think the lowest I have seen, hehe so I guess I didn't get ripped off too bad. Those guys scammed me and my other 18 year old friend....... |

For the price I paid from two guys in a van, I thought these speakers were a scam. I took them home and listened to them. Damn!!! the best speakers i've ever heard!!! |

Strength:
cheap!
Weakness:
misrepresentation! I just think it needs to be said that anyone who believed these were anywhere near as good as the , ahem, salespeople said they were needs to check their head. However, since the people selling them have very little to loose for letting them go cheap, you can bargain for a deal. Just don't go above 200 bucks a pair and your laughing! Some of the harsher reviews I feel are just angry at being fooled. The speakers sound fine and I'd buy another pair if given the chance. |

This is a complete scam placed here by someone involved. I was sold these speakers out of a van stating that they are worth $1299 each and I paid $100 each for 4 of them. They are worth exactly that.....maybe $100 each. Look up the "van scam" on the internet to find out exactly what you are getting. I realize now .... if it looks too good to be true ..... |

These speakers are pretty shit. I bought them off a friend and they are worthonly a hundred bucks each. However, if you happen to pass by a Costco price club you might be able to find them inside. Supposedly they are being sold at Costco for around $700. Who knows. The speakers themselves have incredibly large BASS, and the tweaters and mid are okay, but for that price I would think they would sound a little better than they do. SCAM. FRAUD. FAKE. I rate this shit a 1 outa five. Later. |

This is an outstanding speaker system. It includes a 600W servo amplifier which provides true DEEP bass. It also has the same components as the Genesis V at a lower price point (the V has an 800W amp and includes 4 bass drivers per cabinet vs 3 in the VI). This speaker is very similar to the Genesis 500 which is the current model...the VI has been discontinued. Both the V and VI differ from the 500 in that they had metal dome midrange drivers which , to my ear, are much better than the more conventional drivers in the 500. Imaging and sense of space with the VI is much like what you would expect from planar speakers. They are very fast with excellent slam. Drums, string plucks, etc have a clarity and immediacy not heard in most speakers. Build quality and choice of materials is outstanding. This speaker is also HIGHLY adjustable...just about everything can be tailored to your specific room and system. Tweeter levels, midrange levels, woofer levels, woofer crossover point. Bi-wire capability is built in.The VI works great with any music and just about any amplification. Since the servo amp handles the bass you are free to select an amp that excels in the highs and midrange. |
