I have a pair of KX-10's for my left and right channels, a pair of KX-6's for my surround channel and a KX-Center Series 2 for my center channel. I have owned them all for about a year. I am very happy with their performance in both home theater and music. They may not sound as good as other speakers but most speaks that I have found that sound better cost two to three times more. I have also push these speakers shaking my whole room and found there to be very little distortion and they continue to work great. For the price they are great speakers, great for most applications, and will take some abuse from playing them loud.

Strength:

Great soundstage once they have been broken in. Most people aren't patient enough to let the speaker "grow". These sound as good as the Polk RT25s I had. They are made by Carver by the way.

Weakness:

Not enough available on E-Bay

Great great great. These speakers are a fantastic find. They match up well with my Bic DV62CLR center channel which is a monster itself. I also have some DCM6s(the newer model) as my rears until they get broken in. Truly a great speaker.

Strength:

Large sound from small speakers
Great looks with or without covers
Dual magnet drivers

Weakness:

no hole for mounting on stands

I bought these for my medium sized living room. I did not want large speakers to take up space. I have these in the four corners of my room. I also have the matching KX center and an AudioSource 15" sub. The sound is incredible. These speakers are a perfect match for the center and a large sub. They sound better every day as they burn in. These make great fronts IF you have a large sub. The are perfect for rears. All around a great product. Well built and strong. I got all four of mine from Ubid for $120 delivered. Can't beat that.

Strength:

Very efficient, good extension for size, great for surrounds.

Weakness:

Nada.

I've got DCMs in my system (KX-12s up front, KX Center, and KX-6s for surrounds). I find the system pretty impressive overall, but the surrounds really give you some bang-for-your-buck, in my opinion. They go plenty low for their size, they are accoustic suspension, so mounting on the wall is no problem, and if you use base management, they've got no problem doing 80-20k Hz. I even played with them up front because I had the center and surrounds before I took the plung for the KX-12s, and with those three up front, it sounded really good. If you've got a nice sub, I think four KX-6s and a KX Center would make a nifty little $300-$400 five speaker set-up.

Strength:

Bang for buck, clear clean sound, decent bass for small speaker

Weakness:

none giving consideration to price and size

I bought these as a "why not?". I paid $80 for the pair including shipping and had read positive comments here. I would agree with the comments from other reviewers. Great speaker for the price! It definately gets better sounding as it gets more break in time. I use it in combination with a Audiosouce SW15 sub (another great recommendation from this site) and it sounds fine as main speaker audio set up. I got a deal on some Mission 701's which are a better sounding speaker to my ear (more $$ too) so these will become my surround speakers which is a role that they will easily fulfill. I'd highly recommend them as a surround speaker or a main where you don't require huge amounts of bass.
