Can get very loud, good bass, good cabinet

Midrange is lacking

I bought these about 9 years ago. They were $140 each at Circuit City. The woofer is powerful and has deep bass for the size.

Great for Surround Sound. Great starter set for first time stereo.

Great sounding speaker. I started out with these as my main speakers until I got more money for the 12 inch. They work wonderfully as surround sound speakers in the rear. A little bulky for it, but worth it. Try it and you''ll love them.

Bose 301: very nice speakers too, but they're not Cerwin Vega's. I like the looks and sound of the Cerwin Vega's a lot more.
