Strength:

uses little floor space and puts tweeters at a good (high) listening position.

Weakness:

Tweeters have no brilliance or sparkle due to crossover limitation Mid range gets sloppy at loud volume levels

I have a hard time getting used to the characteristics of "high-end" speakers... My usual listening pair was Cerwin Vega 300 SE's from '90. I don't like the way CV built a limiting capacitor into the high crossover. It basically filters frequencies above 14KHz! I tried replacing the 94 dB rated silk domes with a pair of 97 dB CV VS-120 tweeters. The high end STILL has no sparkle! It the Crossover's fault :((( The mids do get "sloppy" when played at high volume levels (they are in a sealed cabinet section with the tweeters) The twelve in woofers sound "nice" "deep", but not unearthingly DEEP. very balanced for the system. I wouldn't recommend this speaker system to many since it sounds flat and overly mid-ranged.

Strength:

A certain about of distorted bass....

Weakness:

Terrible High-end at high volumes, makes you want to plug your ears. Bass is much lacking for a speaker of this size, and the mid-range is as sloppy as the bass.

A down-right terrible speaker. I admit, suitable for parties when loud, continuous music playing may be necessary, but other than that they lack in every way possible. Dont waste your money. Spend less money and buy something with more detail and clarity.

Strength:

Powerfull, Everlasting look, Solid construction and down right sexy.

Weakness:

None Yet

Listened to a lot of speakers. The CVT-12's are the best for deep base and not in your face. They will continue to impress you as you upgrade your stereo's power output to infinity. They are sold separately because the woofers are opposite each other.

I've used JBL's I like the clarity of the JBL's until I experienced across the CVT's
