Strength:

Very low extention, the manual says 32hz. They ain't kiddin'! Could it be tighter? Yes, but look what you paid and you'll realize you got a speaker worth 6k, when they retailed for $3200.00 The mids are nice and smooth, good for anything from Rammstien to Eva Cassidy, Miles to Paganini.

Weakness:

The top could be more lively, but would make a lot of recordings really thin. It's smooth factor, like a Snell, it that it makes almost everything sound enjoyable. And that's what it's about!

The Howard 3S is a slightly different duck, but quite enjoyable, depending on your needs. If you need a "live" sound, ala PSB, Dynaudio, look else where. If you want a smooth speaker that can handle ANYTHING thrown at it, this might be your cup of tea. Sorry, had to tip my hat to the Brits.
