If you have not heard it in on Bose Acoustimass, you haven't heard it all.Radio Shack admirers should stick to RS and not to quality misic. I brought this
piece for 1200, Everything coming out is Music, Music, ... Wow I am glad
I paid 1200$ , It is definetly worth more than 1200, I think I would
have brought it for even 1500.
I have a HK65 with Panasonic CD Player. I love this stuff. People claiming
You can assemble speaker and design like the Bose, should go ahead and
design. I give 5 STARS (*****) for the price, 5 STARS( *****) for the Quality
5 STARS FOR THE MUSIC!!!!

I was unassumingly auditioning these Bose speakers at a local mid fi chain store. I listened carefully. I really disliked the horribly grainy upper midrange and lack of treble. Real low bass, like jet engine roar, pipe organ music was faint except for what was about 80hz. Then, there was a gross hump in the midbass, resulting in exxaggerated distortion. I though, ok--I dislike the sound, so how much is this setup? My knees almost gave out when I found out how much this poor sounding, paper cone set of baby blocks cost.
I though, what deaf moron would but these when there are a huge number of brands that are so much better for the same price?
The has to be a legion of suckers, who parade lemming like into the world of Bose because of ad hype everywhere.
I can hear the difference. They are rubbish, for the price of gold.
1 star, because I can't rate 1/2 star.

I don't know the difference between a casual listener, an audio enthusiast, or an andiophile. Is the guy who likes hot dogs and beer any less worthy than the one who likes quiche?
The first time I heard the Bose AC-15s was in a friend's house. I had no idea what they were, but I loved the brilliant sound. Yep, other speakers have their own quality and I can see how they appeal to different tastes, but these speakers coupled with my Yahama RX-V2095 sound great to me... and my friends always ask "What is that amazing sound system,"... even the guys with the Polks. My advice: don't pay any attention to these reviews. Listen and pick what you like. As for me, the AC-15's are outstanding, and my opinion on what I like matters more to me than somebody else's on what I should like.

Once again another review from other speakers at Circuit City.Have a clue bonehead, the people that are bashing those pieces of shit got off their butts and went to a GOOD audio outlet to do their auditioning.Until you get your butt out their and do the same your review means nothing.I would love to see the look on your face when you compared side by side with Energy,Definitive,Paradigm ect.

Ok kids stop the war.The fact is,the Bose AcousticMess 15 is a JOKE.Nothingmore and nothing less.To give this THING five stars is screaming to all who
want to hear "I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ACCURATE MUSIC REPRODUCTION".I dare all
of the Bose,Cambridge,Yamaha fans to go and listen to B&W Nautilus,Martin Logan,
Dynaudio Contour speakers and hear what five star sound reproduction is all about.Paradigm,Energy and Mirage are OK 3/5.Oh yes back to this
"Review"...1 Star for The AcousticMess.

Well, I guess I should have pointed out that I don’t listen to speakers for my house anywhere but – in my house. My local audio shop trucked over several different speakers. I picked the Bose because I thought they sounded best here- not at Circuit City nor in a dark room paneled with foam and accented with A-B switches. By the way, Larry, it’s not “get your butt out THEIR”; it’s “get your butt out THERE.” Just a little brush-up on bonehead English for you.
As for the use of meaningless profanity and the juvenile emotions a simple opinion elicits from some folks on this page, my rating follows.

I don't know a whole lot about speakers and components. In fact, I would not spend 4 grand on an audio setup. The problem is, my untrained ears detect that Bose doesn't have any highs, or low bass.
It was hard to find a brand I didn't like much better for the price.
I used commons sense, and listened closely over a two week timeframe.
When payday rolled around, I bought a Paradigm home theater setup for around the price of the Bose, and to me, there is no comparision. The Paradigms give me everything the Bose couldnt. I am really happy, and have no idea why people would buy Bose. I would put it among the worst sounding gear I could find. I also can see the price must be to support the hype and name, because the cheap materials they are built from are nothing special.
Take it from me, I don't sell speakers, and I have nothing to lose or gain from this review. I think if people ignore the ads, ignore the design, and listen to the music, and compare it to other brands you will see.

Strength:

Ah...wait...I am searching...yes its small!

Weakness:

Well boomy,muddy,band-pass like bass.Low resolution,irritating.

Well it will be short. The AcousticMess
looks nice, fits anywhere that is it.The sound may impress the folks who listen to music from clock radios and TV speakers. It irritates you after 5 minutes,if you are looking for a tiny speaker set to fit in any room go listen to the Gallo system it sounds much better.

Strength:

in a well enclosed room the am15 provides a great listening experience. if you are a fan of hard rock or rap choose something else. in surround sound (dolby digitl) it sounded fairly good.

Weakness:

if you have a larger room you might want to get something a bit larger in the speakers catagorie.

if you are a bose enthuasiast than this is a good system for you. its small easy to mount and easy to hide the bass module. i have heard better but in a medium sized room the system sounded good.

Similar Products Used:

i also tested the ini hts10. which sounded very good. if you want to spend the money for the am15, you might want to piece together you own system to get a better sound than the am15.
